App is geared mainly to invoke added business
No replacement for museums art & audio guide. Uses no references to painting labels, no search, only few categories to start with. App provides some basic information about Museum and a limited number of his more famous paintings.
No support and functions are not as described! Stay away!
I downloaded the app and liked the design. I was curious about the AR function and wanted the additional content so I paid the 3,50€. The AR however does not work! And you can just read the texts on the walls of the museums so this app does not give any value. I tried to contact the developers about this but they do not respond. Very bad experience! Update: The fact that I was still not contacted directly and the developers do not address my Problem in their answer shows clearly its professionalism. Well done! 😊
Its a rip-off! Avoid this app and look into wiki!

Well planned and visually appealing
Of all the museums In Amsterdam, Van Gogh is the best organized and well lit. We enjoyed it more than the Rijksmuseum

An encounter with Vincent Van Gogh! Delightful experience in a very well kept museum. The audio guide was very pleasant and important for our understanding of the mood and the struggles of this priviledged artist. Intense!
Shows mostly ads, paintings information is easier found on Wikipedia
This is an app that first and foremost wants to sell you tours. The limited information about paintings is hidden in hard to find menus, not organized as in the museum, so it is easier to search on Wikipedia than clicking around the ads to find it this description for a painting.
Dream to return
I went to this exceptional museum for an exceptional artist in 1975. I had the good fortune to visit many other fine museums in Europe prior to going to VGM. I was very glad I saved the best for last! The VGM displays and layouts brought a fresh new way of viewing and learning about Vincent’s life and works. I hold the dream of returning to VGM someday soon.

This Van Gogh museum guide is exactly what I was looking for. Im not only just a visitor to the museum but a also a Van Gogh fan and this guide helped me before and while in the museum and also during my stay in Amsterdam as it also includes a guide of the city with maps. This app should be better marketed as it is a complete guide of the museum with its highlights and the life of Van Gogh and it has a huge plus which is the travel guide of Amsterdam. And also you can book ahead of time the tickets to any attraction in Amsterdam and avoid the lines.
