Now quantity over quality. Personally I’m fine without the daily wallpaper. I’d rather have far fewer ones, but top quality. Some are entirely AI-generated, and I wish those were marked as such. I’m not against AI in principle. But if it’s not flawless, as a wallpaper, you can’t unsee the issues. I’ll pay a few more bucks a year if needed, especially if it benefits artists as well.
High quality and no ads

App was good before. But now it’s a advertising application
With iOS 18 here I think it’s time you update the samples, including the lock screen.
I had trouble finding good wallpapers before I came across this app. TONS of wallpapers, and they’re all free! Very high resolution, and they look good on Apple Watch, too. I have found the ability to preview the wallpapers before installing to be very useful. The daily wallpaper is fun, and keeps you checking the app. No subscriptions, only a one time purchase (of $3) to keep away adds and let you view the last 4 weeks of daily wallpapers. I have an add blocker, and if I wasn’t so broke, I would probably purchase the premium just to support the app. An easy 5 stars, there is no reason not to download it.
Usually I Do Not Write app reviews, except in very rare and specific extreme instances. Vellum deserves the effort, and I am quite happy to avoid offline responsibilities in the meantime. TL;DR: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Fantastic app worth the premium upgrade. The Review for the App Developers, SEO Specialists and Bored Readers: Vellum is 100% the most aesthetically pleasing, intuitively designed, and intentionally crafted wallpaper app I have ever used. I’d even venture it to be one of the best-designed apps I’ve *ever used.* It boasts 40+ collections of at least ten super-high-resolution images each, and you can preview a grid of the collection’s wallpapers at a glance before swiping through the higher resolution versions. You can also customize every image by adding your preferred level of blur, for coordinating your lock and home screen images with ease. 📳 Developer note, small bug: some of the images in the preview grid will repeat, rather than show the correct preview, when you first access a collection. Swiping through in fullscreen seems to remedy this, but the wallpaper must fully render before the grid will correct itself. I will remove this paragraph if/when the developer responds! The app provides clear and simple installation instructions for both iPhone and Apple Watch, for those unicorn aesthetes newly baptized in technology. On the similarly miraculous chance that an Android user is grieving their phone purchase by wish-browsing the App Store, Vellum is also coming soon to G**gle Pl*y 😉 The one-time $3.00 premium purchase removes ads and unlocks access to the past four weeks of daily wallpapers. Well worth the money, in my opinion; I only wish I could pay for more than four weeks’ archive! Push notifications can be enabled, or you can subscribe to their emails on their website, to be notified when new packs drop. The wallpapers themselves are showcased in tasteful collections curated by both the discerning developers, and in collaboration with digital artists, photographers, museums, and other creative collaborators. As of 6-Sept-2024, there are 49 different collections ranging from abstract 3D digital art, to low earth orbit photography, to extreme macro textures. There are no possibly-plagiarized illustrations, no copyright-infringing content, no lackluster 3D renders of the same ten repetitive textures, no “aesthetic” themed collages or quotes, and no monthly subscriptions pop-ups before you can view the wallpapers. Just very mindfully an
Houses beautiful, high-quality wallpapers with extensive collection and user-friendly interface which ultimately make it a standout. Cheers Dev. Keep up the good work!
I really love this app. The wallpapers are amazing and HD quality! I did have to redownload some because I did wait for them to full load and downloaded too fast. As a result, the wallpapers that saved to my camera roll were blurry and distorted in image quality. But it was an easy fix to just redownload but wait for each image to fully load. My favorite series is the viscosity and the crystals. They make excellent wallpapers
