Awful app
Bought the Vent-Axia system because it was app controlled but doesn’t connect and the one brief time it did, it soon disconnected.
Yes, Vent is completely free and it doesn't have any in-app purchases or subscriptions.
Not enough reviews to make a reliable assessment. The app needs more user feedback.

There are two apps , one where you connect via Bluetooth and you control the fan speed, this works fine but what’s the use ? The second app is supposed to give you all the selections, but the unit will not connect and does not show a network to connect to
The app is not communicating with the MVHR very well. Can not be controlled when not on the wifi network. Crash very often and have to reset the unit to get it back working. Need an update.
The app seems to want to emulate the front panel, it lacks some nice information for the user. It would nice to see all the bypass information, humidity readings, flow rates etc some of this information is available in the commissioning page, which is a little frustrating, as not all modes are in the commissioning area. While it took a full reset loop as per the manual to have a stable WiFi connection, the app now connects at least 80% of the time..
Both the installer, the Home Automation specialist and myself have been unable to attach the WiFi controller to my home network.
