The mouse traps catch more roaches and ants than anything else. Yes, it will catch a mouse sometimes, but the software needs an overhaul on notification and resetting. Has caused more frustration than it’s worth. False readings, no resets, reading powered with batteries removed for hours, etc. Don’t waste your money. I don’t know about the rat traps, but the smart mouse traps are a more of money trap than anything else. I’ll give it 1 star for the 1 mouse it caught and the roaches that it thought were mice. Don’t bother setting up the wi-fi. Easy enough set up but doesn’t work well enough to justify it. Only got 3 notifications that it caught something. 2 of them were false alarms. I got better results with traditional traps. Fix these things. Update: Had to throw one trap out. It kept thinking a mouse was in there and was continuously shocking an empty chamber. It finally did catch some mice for a while before it crapped out though. But for the price, it’s not worth it if it breaks down in 6-8 months. Don’t buy. Call an exterminator.
It is a Pest….
Major problems with setup and losing WiFi connection. Once lost, there was no way to reconnect, QR was not found on the web, a manual entry did not exist. Did reinstall, reset modem and router, disabled VPN etc, to no avail. Then went to set it up as a new trap and it worked, but saw that the new batteries 4 days ago were at 27%! That is a lot of batteries. I should add that it caught 5 mice in the 4 days since I installed. It should not be necessary to install a NEW device when WiFi is lost.
Our Rats give this 5 Stars
In other words it doesn’t work.
Please Victor, spare us your canned responses and fix this pile of crap.
Does Not Work
After a very painful set up procedure involving setting up an account, agreeing to the terms and conditions, multiple changes to the WiFi settings to switch between the device and the LAN, and entering the WiFi password it doesn’t connect. The instructions then recommends you go to the web site for troubleshooting instruction but the only thing there is a PDF of the skimpy instructions booklet included with the device. The instructions also say you should call them for help but that just sends you into a complex voice system with no useful information. There are no people there in the evening to talk too. The web site says it takes 3 to 4 days to respond to an email.

Glad I tried this app before buying the M2.
Great
A little difficulties setting up but when I follow the directions exactly it connects. Has killed several mice/rats for me. I haven’t had to use it for a while but I just put new batteries and bait after sitting for a year. Hope it takes care of the noise I’m hearing in the attic lately.

impossible to set
one hour and still i cannot set it. faster to change apartment
Disconnects too often. Might as well not buy the WiFi trap as it always needs to be reset.
Bought the trap with the WiFi connection and the trap has to be reset almost daily. To the point that I wish I hadn’t spent the extra money to have the trap that connects to the internet. Save the $ and buy the trap without the WiFi.
App works well otherwise. 24hr seems to be a long period to wait to let me know the app hasn’t had communication with the trap.
App is probably 4 stars.
