Gonna rip my hair out
So on the surface this app is great. You can trim video and merge it with other videos. If have zero need to Trim the clip prior to importing it into the and all you need is the ability to stitch clips together than this is the app for you. However if you want/need to trim the clips prior to them being stitched together than keep looking or you’ll possibly ready to throw your phone against the wall cause you can’t throw the frustrating app and the phone houses the app so it’s simply collateral damage. First and foremost this app is either not right for the screen of an iPhone 11 or they intentionally use ads that have the x to close it only partially on screen but not where there is the ability to trigger the closure of the app. Or I think it may also be possible that the developer isn’t really aware how to create programs that work well on devices that have touchscreens which is clear in the user interface which I’ll get into in a moment but depending on how much say a developer has in the ad layout the ads in this app support the theory the developer is working in a area they aren’t qualified to be in. Although I don’t know if developers have that much control when adding the ads. I’d assume it’s just a matter of picking where & when & what triggers an ad and they probably pick the size of the ad & what kind of engagement triggers it & either they didn’t anticipate larger phone screens or they intentionally chose ads that would force user engagement which is how developers of apps that are “free” make their money. I am not however fond of the ads being ones in which I’m forced to either click the ad and being sent offer to the ads website where true the developer then gets a couple cents for giving the site traffic but I’m so not a fan of this method since it also installs cookies on your phone which gives the ad company the means to continue to make money of the user which in itself is bad enough but the fact my choices are to click the ads and launch safari or don’t and stare at the ad until I close the app since the means to close it is there but just out of reach. Watching a video every so often I’m cool with but I’m not a fan of being sent to either websites or some apps I’ve had launch the App Store and even iTunes. However what makes this inconvenience so unbelievably frustrating and gives evidence the developer hasn’t created touch screen apps before is that trimming the video is far from easy to do because the videos which are listed on the scre
