yes this app does create videos but they are of moving generated stills and a script. no option to omit the script either. could be fun but even at 50% off is it really worth the price? not seeing a lot of value here.

I purchased the Unlimited Pro Version and the app refuses to utilize the upload speeds from my ISP… Just sitting there ticking away refusing to allow me to export or even the the content I helped produce and paid for unlimited uncopywritten content only to have the equivalent of a paperweight for an “AI” app… Never mind the fact that I have to struggle 400 years to get 2 seconds of “AI” screen time for my African American/Black characters…😩😩😩

When it works it’s not bad. But videos fail halfway through quite often. Says to use different story or I guess change it. Even though there’s nothing wrong with it. Then when they do complete. Exporting the video hangs and never finished exporting about a third of the time.

I recently started using VideoGPT to generate videos, and while the platform offers promising features, I am disappointed by a major flaw in character consistency. I carefully crafted a prompt to create a dark-skinned African American male character, but the output was inconsistent. Initially, the character matched my description, but halfway through the video, his skin tone inexplicably changed, making him appear as an albino. This inconsistency undermines the creative vision I’m aiming for and disrupts the narrative integrity of the video. As a user, it’s frustrating to spend time perfecting a prompt, only for the model to alter key elements of the character. Maintaining consistent features, especially for something as critical as skin tone, should be a fundamental capability. VideoGPT has potential, but this issue needs to be addressed urgently. Developers should prioritize improving character stability and representation to ensure users can trust the AI to adhere to their specifications. Until then, I can’t fully recommend this platform for projects that rely on precise character depiction.

It generates some funny short stories, but anything past a minute is filled with nonsense phrases. It also randomly changes into other languages and gets stuck there. It also doesn’t do dialogue, just voice over narratives. Finally the pictures are all just random, no consistency within the story

The app makes you pay and when I subscribed I tried to unsubscribe and I did then I deleted it and now it still wants me to pay and I can’t download anything or update anything because of it 😭😭

Was good until we now have to be pro to have longer vids we have to stick to 30 seconds when we were able to go up to 5 minutes but we are stuck at 30 seconds at least let us have 1 minute or 45 seconds
