View Source is an app plus an iOS 8 Safari extension that makes it easy to do one key web developer task: view the HTML, JavaScript and CSS source of any web page, with beautiful and customisable syntax highlighting.
As an app, you can enter a URL and immediately see the source code behind it. As an extension, it's even easier: just browse the web in Safari as you normally would, and if you want to view the source for your current page just tap the Action icon and choose View Source. You can then either copy the text to your pasteboard for use in other apps, or send it as an email.
To enable the Safari extension on iOS 8, launch Safari, tap the action button on the toolbar, scroll right to the end, then tap More. Make sure View Source is enabled, then position it wherever you want it in the list of Safari actions, and tap Done.
This app is optimised for all iOS 8-compatible devices, including the new iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus.

In Safari wird kein Button angezeigt.

Tut was es soll!

App funktioniert wie beschrieben. Quellcode kann über die App direkt angezeigt werden, auch geladene Assets und DOM-Baum, sowie ein Info-Tab mit Infos zur Seite und den Cookies. Der Button in Safari wird auch bei aktuellem iOS 13.3 angezeigt, somit kann man direkt in Safari ebenfalls alles nachschauen. Es gibt auch mehrere Themes, was jetzt für mich aber eher unwichtig ist. Schön wären noch Zeilennummern, das wäre dann perfekt.

Letztes Update vor 4 Jahren

Stürzt so oft ab dass es eigentlich unbenutzbar geworden ist.

Funktioniert nicht

Im iOS Safari wird kein View Source Button angezeigt.

Viele Abstürze

In letzter Zeit stürzt die App auf dem iPad mit Safari leider bei vielen Websites ab. Wenn man anfängt, zu scrollen, wird die App beendet. Schade. Ich fand die App bisher sehr gut.

Gut, aber leider gelegentlich ein Absturz

Eine echt gute App, allerdings stürzt die Safari Erweiterung teilweise ab. Ohne das Abstürzen gibt es 5 Sterne.

The last update together with iOS 8 makes this app a must have for me!!! Take a quick look of the websites source code, triggered via native Safari? Sure, no problem. If you develop websites or just want to snoop the code of some sites, this is your app of choice.
