Strong Authentication
VIP Access adds strong authentication to your normal login in one of the following ways:
• Dynamically generate a one-time use security code on your mobile device. Use that code along with your username and password.
• Receive a push notification on your mobile device that you approve as authentication. If your organization requires you to define an additional device authentication mechanism to meet the security requirements, you are prompted for the additional local authentication such as passphrases or biometrics.
• Enter a challenge number on your mobile device that you receive during authentication. The challenge number proves that you are physically present during authentication.
• Use Touch ID, Face ID, or Passcode in a push notification to authenticate yourself on your mobile device.
Note: Touch ID or Face ID authentication requires that your mobile device is Touch ID or Face ID capable and that you have registered a fingerprint or facial recognition authentication on the device.
The strong authentication method you use depends on the method implemented by your participating organization.
You can generate a security code even if you do not have a network or mobile connection.
QR/App Codes
• Scan a QR Code at participating organizations such as Google, Facebook, Amazon, and more to generate a security code every 30 seconds to securely sign in. Enter this security code along with your password to add strong authentication to your favorite websites.
• Generate a QR code to migrate a VIP Access credential to a new mobile device.

Bug when multiple credentials.

If I have 2 credentials then when I first open the app, only 1 of 2 credentials show. I must close then re-open the app for all credentials to be visible. Please address. Cheers.

I thought this was supposed to be a “useful and hassle-free application…” I guess not cause this application no longer works with either of my “work applications” that I use for “work” purposes. The notification never shows up in the “VIP Access” App. Fix this major issue before you loose another customer… because you definitely will if this is not fixed.

Avoid if possible

When my phone was updated this app was mysteriously deleted. Reinstalling will create a new Credential ID and you will have to reset all 2-factor authentications that were associated with the credential ID. Avoid this if you can.

code copy is not longer working

How can I copy the code now and paste it to the website? What is the point of this app if I cannot copy and paste?

Not recommended

If you have the previous version, don't upgrade. This version doesn't work as advertised. Double-tapping the code doesn't copy it to the clipboard. And there's no way to report bugs to the developer - typical Symantec arrogance. Wish it could manage tokens for my two PayPal accounts.

Great for PayPal but needs ability to have two credentials

We have two PayPal accounts as we have a Canadian and U.S. Corp account. It would be good to have two credentials so we can use the same app for both accounts. Please add as it is an easy request. Most people have more than one account (business / personal or several businesses). Love the new black skin but multiple IDs was more important.

Unless there's some sort of Confirmation of Stability

I'm not risking getting myself locked out of my Paypal. Come on Verisign. You gotta express you identified that glitch and nipped it and its working much more clearly than that garbled explaination in your update text. Anyone took the chance to chak it out?

Terrbile Application

WARNING!!! Closing this application from running programs causes it to get a new Credential ID next time it is opened. This will lock you out of all of your associated accouts you are using it for. Blizzard has no problem programing an authenticaiton app for Battlenet which can be closed properly so I don't see why these people can't.

Why?

I know that you as a consumer reading this have no say, but nobody should ever choose this as their 2FA method, and I hope the low rating will deter decision-makers at companies.

This version worked with Apple Vision Pro (M2)

I was able to authenticate with my financial institution using this version of VIP Access on my apple Vision Pro, visionOS 2.2. I knock off one star because there is no alternative to dark text on the white background, but at least the font is quite large.
