Virtual Cellar

The app is amazing if you want to catalogue your wine. It’s great for when friends are over for dinner they can look through your cellar virtually and scroll through all the wine you have. Love it.

We turned a large utility closet into a temp controlled wine room last year, with storage racks for 668 bottles. As we set about filling it up, I knew we needed a system to find what we wanted to drink, other than randomly pulling thing out of the racks. This app is perfect! I was able to set up visual racks matching my room, but can also view list and search and sort. It has worked perfectly! We live in California’s Central Coast wine country so most of our collection is local wines. I find that most often i do not find my wines in the database, but adding them is pretty fast and easy - a couple pics, add the name, and boom. I am not a genius with apps and tech in general, so the fact I can easily do this says quite a lot!

Spent hours cataloging several hundred bottles in my wine cellar. Got logged out when my iPhone updated. Can’t remember the password I used. There seems to be no method in the app or on the webpage to reset the password, despite logging in with email. All it will tell me is that my email has an account. Liked the app otherwise, except for a few inconvenience issues with it’s structure, like it doesn’t seem to recognize very many UPC codes, but being unable to recover log-in is a major red flag for an app. They fixed the problem. Works beautifully now. The owner of the site contacted me by email the next day and got my password reset and my inventory restored. I store my wine in several places. This app allows me to instantly lay my hands on the bottle I want. Love it. They working hard to add the upcs of more wines.

My biggest complaint to date is after all the effort I put in loading up two cellars the app all of a sudden just cleared out EVERYTHING. Very frustrating. I finding searching wines to be slow and painful. The take a picture of the SKU never works and even moving bottles between cellars has been extremely slow at times and that’s what I was doing when the app crashed and my cellars were cleared out when I relaunched the app.

Easily the best way i’ve found new tastes in whiskey that I would enjoy!
