Virtual Regatta Offshore

The app runs well, looks good, and is straightforward to use. The downside this that Virtual Regatta is 100% pay to win. Everything you need to allow your ship to sail faster or customize it’s look you have to pay for. This is true for every race you enter, unless you pay for the VIP membership, which is not reasonably priced. Virtual Regatta is a complete price grab in my opinion.

While I have been playing this game for several years. I find that the latest is very glitchy. I often have it quite on me while I am doing my routing before I have entered all my waypoints and saving them, which then forces me to start all over. This is very annoying. Also, after all these years, you would expect that there would be a better online guide/ FAQ to go on when you are looking to understand a specific aspect or quirk of this game. As much as I enjoy using this game to practice my offshore navigation skills, it can be very frustrating to play, especially when considering how many years the it has been out and the developer has had time to refine it. This is particularly so, for users that actually sail and use professional software for navigation and routing.

I’ve been playing the paid game for the last 3 or 4 editions of the Ocean Race. This current race has had a few periods where it took hours to log in meaning I lost thousands of places through no fault of mine. Whats the point of finishing when you fall way behind due to the game being too busy to log in? This has become a total ripoff. You cant even contact support without a VIP membership. What a waste of money.

It is really annoying that for every race you are registered in you have to endure advertising for other games before being able to check status, make course changes, etc. Was not like that when I did my first race in 2020.

Tout est fait pour vous faire payer, sinon, vous n'êtes jamais dans la course — jamais les meilleures voiles, pas de routage, pas d'alertes, et vous aurez de plus en plus de publicités et de jeux obligatoires à « essayer ». Où sont vos compétiteurs ? Avez-vous arrêté le développement ? Je ne vois pas la différence entre 2022 et 2012.

Super jeu, bien conçu Un peu cher quand même….

Jeu très bien pour faire des grandes courses connues avec des skippers en temps réel et qui participent vraiment aux courses

I have completed several races against family members. I find the sail feature allows me to be included in this activity. This time I had to delete and add the app several times as it just didn’t work. And the ads for games and bras(seriously) were very annoying as they always happened as I was trying to “sail” my boat. I assume the ads make it free but they seemed to create some of the glitches on my iPad. My favourite part is finding out I’ve passed 1,076 other players since my last visit!

General gameplay is good but at times a bit glitchy. Prefer when it did not have the crew getting tired.

I’ve been playing this game for years. But the latest patch really disappoints me. The game crashes out way too often on my iPad. The navigation becomes very buggy and laggy in the latest patch. Combined, the game is barely playable. I rarely post reviews here but my disappointment is on a whole new level. Save yourself the trouble and don’t waste your time on loading and crashing.
