Vitality Today FAQ
Is Vitality Today free?
Yes, Vitality Today is completely free and it doesn't have any in-app purchases or subscriptions.
Is Vitality Today legit?
⚠️ The Vitality Today app has poor ratings and negative feedback. Users seem unsatisfied with its performance or features.
It has become a chore to login to vitality. Have to select or enter password every time. About half the time also have to have a passcode sent to email. It’s time to get in to the modern age and use biometric authentication like face or Touch ID. Can’t begin to tell you how many points we’ve lost toward rewards and insurance discounts. If I had the power (obviously not from vitality) I’d choose a more technologically advanced provider.
Down AGAIN
Such a bad app. Constantly boots you out. Logging back in requires waiting for an email and even with the code it takes four or five emails to actually get into the system. The vitality wheel does not work. It takes days to update workouts. Truly awful.
This HEALTH APP is making me SICK!
One of the worst apps I ever used, I wish I good give it a 0! There is no way this app has a 4.2 Star rating either! It finally keeps me logged in, but everything I try to submit, complete, or do is screwed up. I just tried to enter a bloodwork result. Asked for my height but will only allow me to enter a number from 1-4 in the feet and 1-8 for inches. I’m 6 ft. But according to Vitality I can’t be over 4’8. Vitality looks at my height and weight and thinks my BMI is 54! I tried to submit evidence of bloodwork. Finally got one picture to go through after taking 10 that are thrown out for being too large, not sure how that is. Too bad I needed to take two pictures for all the results. It only allows 1 pic. So I doubt that I will even get all my points. This app will eventually ruin my good blood pressure! I always enjoyed Vitality and truly believed it helped me be more healthy but the last year with this “new and improved” app has been nothing but a fight and a miserable experience. There are so many other frustrating things I won’t even continue. Thanks for ruining a great thing! I can’t wait to retire just so I don’t have to use Vitality!
Works half the time
The amount of times I’ve had to uninstall and reinstall this is not cool. Freezes when tracking sleep. Errors about not able to log in and to try again. So I try again and it does the same thing. Everytime I reinstall it I have to set everything up again (face id, health app).
All around fitness motivator
This is not exercise app. It awards points for a variety of activities including taking nutrition courses, and watching health related videos. Link with your smartwatch to record your exercise activities. Accumulate points for all of this and then trade those points in for gift cards.
Not realistic to its purpose. SAD.
You’re supposed to be able to log previous workouts and it only counts a fraction. I work out almost everyday and only get 5-15 points a week for this bc it’s not friendly approve to at home gym. Very frustrating when it directly impacts my insurance.
Does not sync with Fitbit
App will show that my Fitbit is connected. My Fitbit shows Vitality app is connected, yet my steps constantly remain at zero. The Vitality App keeps trying to force me to use the iPhone Health App, but I am not glued to my phone, so I don’t want to use it and shouldn’t be forced to when I have a Fitbit.
Meh…
The app itself glitches frequently for both me and my husband (who has an android). Trying to press a link on the screen results in scrolling and several other annoying hiccups. When it’s happening on both platforms it’s a poorly designed app.
As far as the information in the app, at least the nutrition side of it is horribly dated, most of the recommendations are from 80s and 90s nutrition recommendations (replacing real butter for margarine? Absolutely not! Opting for low fat/fat free products was shown to actually cause weight gain back in the early 00s not contribute to weight loss). There’s also a lot of contradictory information (one page of an article will tell you ham is bad and chicken is better, literally the next page tells you sausage is bad and ham is good) and recommendations that just make no sense (replace cheddar cheese for fat free ricotta? Do these people actually cook?). It’s trying to be a one size fits all app in a niche that has too many nuances to fit into one box. It would be fine if these dated recommendations were just educational articles that could be ignored for more current recommendations, but it affects your health score. I’m closely following the nutrition advice of my doctor and my nutritionist for my personal needs and I’m being docked and essentially criticized by the app for not fitting into their dated idea of healthy eating. I honestly would prefer to just delete the app and not be bothered but it’s the only way to get discounts on our insurance premium so I’m stuck having to read this horrible nutrition advice and pretend like an app knows more than my doctor and dietitian.
Poor UX and login experience
Why do I have to login every single time without Face ID and no storage of credentials? Your app needs serious work to say the least. FIX IT!!!!!
App doesn’t work
App no longer works can sign on even after 180 day code entered
