Trainer and app
Amazing piece of kit, the app does need some fine tuning though and the compatibility on a firestick so you can run the app on a TV is not the greatest. But the machine itself is brilliant.

So impressed with the Vitruvian home gym! I love it
I have been working out on and off for a number of years. Nothing has made me train more consistent than the Vitruvian. The app does exactly what I need it to do. Although sometimes minor bugs which seem to be getting regularly fixed.
Really needs improvement
I’ve had the Vitruvian for over a year now so feel I can give a true honest opinion on this product. It definitely is a fantastic bit of kit a whole body workout can 100% be achieved . The level of resistance on this machine is uncomparable to any home Device I’ve used especially in something so compact. Being able to do a heavy back squat without the need of endless plates is a godsend. Having the machine smart enough to drop the weight so u can max out on every set is truly a great feature. This is the only home work out piece of equipment I have kept using and want to use. The only reason it isn’t a 5star rating is because unless u pay the monthly subscription u lose your stats which I personal think is unfair . Also the weights aren’t true at least not on my device . Every thing seems a lot heavier then If I was using free weights but unless your ego lifting it doesn’t really matter .
The app itself could be improved and the equipment is not cheap, however the Vitruvian is a complete game changer for home gym setups. The fact I can do nearly any type or exercise directly at home and without any of the faff is just incredible. The time saved in just not waiting for equipment to be free in a gym alone is worth it. I was worried the machine would be a bit of a gimmick however 1 week in and I have trained every single day - and wanted to as well. Creating a workout is simple and switching it up is simple too. When actually working out, the most useful thing has been deloading weight on the up motion and loading it coming down, making sure I can still complete every set. Love it. My only reservation is that that it does permit partner workouts very smoothly at the moment. I’m sure the app itself will improve over time but it does everything it needs to.
Nothing else on market with the weight capacity and build quality. Application seems to be aggressively develop at the moment. There is a new isokinetic mode in beta and frequent quality of life and big improvements. Recently launch is the web portal for users to list out their wishes. Heading in the right direction. Highly recommend.
The app works pretty well but a little buggy and I would like the ability to alter the weight/reps mid-workout without having to stop/start the workout.
I’ve owned the machine for over a year. The hardware is great, no complaints there but it doesn’t work without the software. And saying the software needs improvement would be an overstatement. Updates to the software are infrequent sometimes many months apart. Even then, there are small changes. While overall, the UI has improved the experience, Laginess, and overall errors have increased. Once your subscription runs out even the most basic safety features are paywalled (such as sound to indicate your reps, end of range of motion, and beginning of set) you are limited to a just lift mode that is quite buggy and doesn’t even have any of the new modes that the machine is otherwise capable of handling. All this has led to me too contemplating selling this, going with another device or an old-school squat rack. I’ll probably stick it out for another few months, but I’m almost at my wits end.
I have ten years working in software so I’m use to the standard troubleshooting steps. However the app regularly glitches out leaving me unable to finish my workouts without spending as much time working on the app as I do actually working out. I want to believe in the Vitruvian but it consistently lets me down. I recommend the Tonal instead because in my experience it is reliable and I am able to complete workouts on it just fine.
