VIU Co-Curricular App

A great app to connect with other students and stay updated about current events going on around VIU! Worth the download :)

Honestly so wonderful to have an app that not only connects me to other students but also shows me all the events happening through campus where I can grow and develop skills and friendships! 100% worth downloading

So awesome and easy to use

This app has literally changed my university career for the absolute better. In the past I’ve struggled to find find events and places to engage on campus. Through this process I’ve used many different sources and other apps to try and find things at VIU, but this stands head and shoulders above the rest.

This app has been just an amazing resource to students. It amazing to see all the connections that are occurring virtually because of this app!

I’m really disappointed to see that the University is choosing to waste students money on an app that literally already exists. The VIUSU app has been around for years and has been offering the same services and communications to students - who use it way more than this app. It’s frustrating to see that the University is creating more silos by not engaging and collaborating with the services that already exist through the Students’ Union. I would like to see the University spend their money more responsibly. Students need more attainable resources such as greater access to Open Education Resources and technology rentals (laptop loans available for more than 3 days). As well as investing into local businesses and not bringing large corporations like Starbucks on campus.

As a part time student for the past 7 years I have always struggled to find events and opportunities because of the decentralized publishing process. This app eliminates the need to use a combination of Facebook, Instagram and EventBrite for events and connections. I look forward to seeing this app put VIU on the map!

This app is amazing for anything campus related especially during COVID-19.
