Smooth and easy. The full version, though, at $5 is too much if compared with similar apps like PowerDVD Remote which is FREE!
Awesome can't even begin to describe this app. Especially the audio streaming function. My girlfriend sleeps earlier than me every night and instead of spending $60 -$100 to get a wireless headphone (so that the sound from the tv wouldn't disturb her), I got this app. All I need to do is to setup the vlc helper on my computer and stream the audio to my iPhone, plug in my iPhone earphones and viola!! I'm watching my show without compromising the volume and my gf can get her sleep. I understand that the audio sync is an experimental feature, here's my 2 cents. Perhaps the "advance/delay" bar can add a "+ & -" function. It's pretty hard to fine tune by dragging the bar on an iPhone screen (pretty small, ain't it) Dragging the bar for rough tuning and "+ & -" for fine tuning will be more user friendly. Plus, the audio streaming feature seemed to have a bug on iPad. I can't use that feature on iPad. But all in all, cheers hobbyist!! Great app!!
This app works extremely well for what it is meant to do. The only thing I have against it is that it seems the UI has not been updated since 2007 when the first iPhone came out. Aside from that, it’s great!
Basura
Sub fee, would have bought it maybe paid but not being black mailed into yearly subscriptions. No thanks.
As the title says, app is great. Full featured and powerful. The one function that they appear to have overlooked and failed to address (and that comes in necessary quite frequently) is the lack of an ability to respond to dialogue boxes on the local machine. They can pop up over the video, requiring physical presence at the keyboard/mouse/trackpad in order to respond, negating the point of the app.
I paid the 4.99 and it wasn’t worth it, the app has to be restarted after a couple min cause it loses connection and won’t even find my pc until I close and restart, needless to say I definitely won’t be renewing my subscription, had a lot of hope for this app too pretty disappointing.
I bought the full version of this app back in 2010. Now that I return back to iOS, I find that my purchase is non-existent. I'm instead asked to download the free app and pay $5/year just to use the app I already bought an indefinite license to, over 12 years ago. F*** this immortal company. Gonna get another remote app instead, or use the dozens on Android. iOS really fell off. Shm.
Awesome!!!
