Memorizing vocabulary words is the most challenging part of SSAT test preparation for most students. Faced with words like "esoteric" and "prosaic," students and their families can feel overwhelmed even choosing which list of words to study, let alone actually studying them.
VocabDragon streamlines the process of choosing and studying SSAT vocabulary. It integrates 25 lists of SSAT words used by top tutors in Asia into an IOS app with spaced repetition software. The app learns which words you find easy and hard as you study, automatically prioritizing the words you find most difficult. Quizzing allows you to test your knowledge via instantly generated multiple-choice assessments.
Each flashcard contains a word, a concise definition, the word's part of speech, and an example sentence. These words and definitions have been handwritten by a star SSAT tutor with over 25 years experience helping students ace the SSAT and earn spots at the top boarding schools and private high schools in the US. The definitions are concise and echo other SSAT words where applicable, making sure that the information memorizing is as targeted and helpful as possible.
The app comes with over 400 flashcards for free. You can purchase additional sets of five lists for a small fee via in-app subscription.
