Free and sufficient

I am not working towards taking any standardized tests, I guess I am just a word nerd. I love vocabulary. However I suggested the app to a young man looking to take the GRE in the near future and he was grateful for the challenges it provides while he studies for his test.

Magoosh: Educational word power exercises

This is a great App and does just what it’s intended to do, help expand your vocabulary. It is work and fun, very rewarding to see your own vocabulary improved by doing these exercises. I recommend it highly.

Word challenge

It helps to grow your vocabulary. It challenges your memory. It reinforces the meaning of words by repetition. I find it an enjoyable app because I love words and their meanings.

Best study app

Wish I had this when studying for the SAT back in grade school. Very well put together and am enjoying this self study app more than the Kaplan SAT prep course I took as a teenager.

I’m falling asleep

They keep repeating the same things over and over until I’m falling asleep. I’ve left the app but when I go back it keeps on repeating the same thing. At first I was annoyed but then I just felt my senses dulling and falling asleep. I guess I should use it as a sleep aid.

Challenging

This app is fun and challenging and a break away from the very nonsensical games I’ve been playing. Using this app enhanced my awareness and recall memory or lack thereof. It allows me to repeat until I consciously slow down, focus and define each word correctly. It also made me question whether I have early stages of dementia. Hahaha

Recommend for ASVAB.

As a Navy Recruiter, I recommend this for the word knowledge portion of the asvab. Helps with root words and refreshes from words learned in middle school that you never really use anymore.

I really am enjoying this. I use this daily to increase my vocabulary. I enjoy the fact that I can go back and repeat a lesson
