How deep is your voice?

Description

How deep is your voice? Do you have an undulating pitch or a low monotone? Our algorithm analyses your voice and compares it with data from over 150 celebrities to let you understand your voice and learn how to improve it.
The app gives you a full analysis of your voice in terms of depth and variety and calculates a set of celebrity matches to give you a grounding of what your results mean.
It also helps you improve your voice. Currently this includes an on-the-fly pitch tracker - so you can practise different ways of speaking and immediately see their effect - as well as unlimited archive space, celebrity comparison graphs, and a charting tool so you can track your progress over time.
We’re working to expand Vocular to other areas too. We want to cover things like smoothness and nasality, even creating a rating of how attractive your voice currently is, based on the latest research. If you want to get the most out of your vocal chords, this is the app for you.

Don’t purchase!

Not useful at all, the description stated that there is an upgraded version, with lessons on how to improve range. There is not.

Wish they had more celebrities to compare with

Really cool app, they need more celebrities to compare though! Hope they plan on adding more

Not Bad

I would give it a higher rating as it has made me aware of when I am speaking with too much vocal fry, but I find that the vocal range tends to be inaccurate. I am a woman who has a tenor speaking voice, yet the app will at times claim I have a contralto speaking voice. I know our tones in voice changes at times, but what I don’t like about this, is that it’s confusing. Even when I am speaking in my natural low voice, and not softening it up, I will still get a contralto. It may not seem like this matters, but I would like some accuracy. Other than that, the app is good if you want to practice sounding better.

Works well

This app needs an audio recording export/sharing option! Otherwise this is a neat app and I’m looking forward to what cool features the devs are working on for future versions.

Excellent app missing one crucial feature

I absolutely love this app. The features and analysis are excellent, and the quality of the recordings is one of the best I’ve seen on the iPhone. However, the only thing holding back what would otherwise be a perfect 5 star app is the lack of ability to export the recordings. Please add this feature!

Good stuff

I like that it calculates variance and use of vocal fry, along with all the other metrics such as mean/medium/mode pitch ect.

Neat

Neat app, but I am not sure how accurate it is. I am a coloratura soprano and this app classified me as a tenor lol.

Queen Elizabeth II Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Katy Perry Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Yo seriously this is the biggest waste of time and energy EVER The comments inside the app are ridiculous!Who’s probably some young adults boys between the age of 10 and 20 who may be insecure now have to worry about sounding like some a weirdo asking questions such as “is it normal for me to sound like this ?””is this how I am supposed to sound?”🥸Everyone your voice is beautiful no matter what it sounds like unless you sound like Toby from The Office...Then again screw it you can sound like Toby if that’s what you sound like there is nobody on this planet who can tell you your voices and beautiful and perfect exactly the way it is and to the developer dude I know what you’re doing

Amazing app

I absolutely love this app, it’s great for improving your voice! I have nothing bad to say about it, but I would love if the celebrity’s had small audio samples of their voice for you to listen to, but other than that, great app.

Great app

bored_random4445 on

I purchased it as people always say my voice is deep or that I sound like X Y or Z, but I’ve always thought they were just messing with me or wrong. With this app, I’m able to see in detail who I actually sound like from an objective standpoint, so it’s interesting to use as it lets you hear what your voice actually sounds like to other people. My only request would be to view the categories for everything. (IE It says “Deep/Extremely Deep/etc.”, it would be nice to have the ability to click the text and see where that stands in the list of pitches/rankings.)
