*** This is the professional app to the renowned reference work of Schulze and Dingler covering 804 European species including 2,837 songs and calls known from the 17# CD set! This app is a co-production between Sunbird Images and the German publisher Edition AMPLE. This is the best set of songs and calls for this region ever published.

All species can be browsed according to their taxonomical classification and can thus be easily compared. Spectrograms to all sounds as well as high quality photographs and descriptions to each species are also included. As a novelty and practical advantage, multiple songs and calls of one species are arranged consecutively on separate tracks. Some tracks consist of several calls, which can independently be chosen and played immediately without the need to fast-forward. This adds up to 2,837 bird sounds altogether! Explanations to all recordings are given, bird names are given in English, Latin and German, French, Italian, Spanish and other languages, see below.

Wonderful app!
I’ve been using the bird songs 17 cd set for many years. Now this comes as an app. More than that, the app has a sophisticated design and usability. It additionally encompasses very nice pictures, sighting tool, and maps. I’m so happy with this app. Without question it’s worth its price!

I had my doubts in the before buying this app because of the high price - but the app is definitely worth its money!! It has everything you need - songs, pictures, etc. for all the European bird species. A great piece of work!

Must have for genuine ornithologists
This app is a must have for all birders. Besides the original CD set, I don’t know of any source that matches with this unbelievable abundance of bird vocalisations. It is the most excellent tool for everyone interested in bird songs. It’s the sound of bird life in the pocket!

Milestone in bird song apps!
Finally a compact version of the famous 17 CD collection of bird songs. Now I can take the bird song collection everywhere I go, also the search features make it more easy to find songs (you have categories, search fields everywhere, and even similar species lists for every bird). The app also has a brief description of every bird. Very nice and fresh design with spectrograms and amplitude diagrams. You can even note sightings with GPS information :-) For the same money as the original CD collection you get much more features, thus this unique song collection is worth every penny! Absolutely recommendable.
