Description
Il territorio individuato all’interno del progetto parte dalla Valle del Voltigno. L’area, inserita nel Parco Nazionale del Gran Sasso e Monti della Laga, occupa una superficie di 5.172 ettari e comprende la Riserva Regionale Voltigno e Valle D’Angri; un’area naturale protetta dell’Abruzzo, istituita nel 1989. La Destinazione “Voltigno” si estende territorialmente verso l’area del Gran Sasso d’Italia, concentrandosi nella Provincia di Pescara sui comuni di Brittoli, Montebello di Bertona, Villa Celiera, Carpineto della Nora, Farindola e Civitella Casanova, con l’aggiunta di Penne e Loreto Aprutino che hanno caratteristiche in comune e sono simili. Nella Provincia di L’Aquila si estende sui comuni di Ofena e Villa Santa Lucia ma sono al di fuori del territorio del GAL Terre Pescaresi.
