Volume Remote Control Reviews

It’s good but not great

So all other devices also have to have this app, which is fine. But if you don’t have the app open on the other device and your own it will not connect and work which is ridiculous… i like it for my young children and having it be open all the time is redundant of the app because they mess with it or close it out and now i no longer have control ALSO after so long it has to be refreshed and reloaded back into which ever option you chose which again is redundant to the purpose! So i wouldn’t recommend the app since you have to pay for it… it’s working capacity is something that should be free.

Buy a bluetooth media button instead

I’ve been using this app for a months but lately it seems like the ipad side is constantly unable to reinitialize after waking up. I have to get up and foreground the app to get it to receive every time. I finally decided to purchase a bluetooth media button from Amazon instead. Love it. A much more reliable and convenient way to remote control the ipad.

Junk

This is a total joke. I have to manually connect the two devices every time I want to use it. Try taking an iPad from a 5 year old to put it into receive mode so I can turn the volume down. Yes I know, I just turn the volume down without the useless app!

Let me be clear.. this App works Perfectly

At night I like to watch some streaming TV on my iPad Pro because it gets me sleepy. But I don't like to get up to pause or mute the show when I'm about to fall asleep because the blood rush from getting up takes away my sleepiness. So I found this app but I was weary because it looks old and the reviews were mixed. I took a chance and let me be clear, it works perfectly. Exactly what it says it does, it does. I installed it on my iPad and iPhone. Set one to receive and voila. It controls the volume exactly as described. Should be 5-Stars but people don't read the description and expect it to do things that it's not designed to do. (1 star for my car that can't feed my horse or bake me a pizza)

Easy Peasy

I use this app to control the volume of another iPad streaming music to my home stereo. Works great, simple to set up.

Garbage

Would not recommend. No trial version. Only for Apple. Give me a refund as the iPad is the only Apple product in my home. Another reason why I can’t stand Apple.

Does not work.

It does not run in the background with any other app (eg YouTube). You need to keep this app open all the time which does not make sense because you cannot run another at the same time. Also even if you keep it open the connection breaks frequently.

Exactly what i wanted.

I wanted to control my iPad volume with my iPhone. Installed this app on both devices. Set the iPad to receive and the iPhone to control. Works perfect. Took 2 seconds to set up. Thank you!

Works to control volume on iPad from iPhone

Worked exactly as described, and was very easy to set up. It would be twice as good if it were accessible from the lock screen, or my phone’s Control Center so it’s easier to control the app without unlocking the phone and getting to the app. I am using this to control my iPad that I keep hardwired into my vintage hifi stereo. I also have a Bluetooth adapter connected to the stereo and I can use the iPad that way too and just keep it relatively close to the Bluetooth receiver/adapter. Either wayI can roam around the house with my phone without worrying about losing connection to the Bluetooth because this app works over the wifi not Bluetooth. I also can control my Spotify on my iPad from my iPhone over wifi (this is native to Spotify), so between Spotify, a more or less dedicated iPad, my old stereo system and this app I have something that works similar to a Sonos set up. It’s definitely a bit of a work around though.
