「VR鹿児島城 ～よみがえる薩摩の館と城下町～」は、在りし日の鹿児島城（通称 鶴丸城）の姿を360度VR画像で体験できるとともに、スポット解説や攻城ゲーム、AR記念撮影など、鹿児島城を学び楽しむことができるアプリケーションです。かつての鹿児島城は、天守のない山城と麓に造られた藩主の館からなる城で、高さ約20ｍの巨大な城門である御楼門がありました。現在はその御楼門が令和２年に甦り、そして歴史・美術センター「黎明館」がある場所にはかつて本丸御殿が、周囲には城下町が築かれていました。明治維新の原動力となった薩摩藩。その本拠地たる鹿児島城の姿を、このアプリを使って是非お楽しみください。
