Description

W Generator is an easy-to-use app that can play various types of waves including sine wave from 20Hz to 20kHz. Moreover it provides waves with note names and is able to play many chords with different kinds of waves. Lower frequency wave from 20Hz to100Hz would be too quiet to be heard due to frequency characteristics of iPhone’s or iPad’s default speakers and the human ear’s sensitivity, which would cause higher frequency wave from 18kHz to 20kHz to be so. However, with headphones or add-on speakers which have good frequency characteristics, lower and higher frequency waves might be heard more clearly. Higher frequency wave might not be heard because of aged high frequency loss.
Warning: Extremely High volume could be damage your ears using headphones or add-on speakers.

W Generator Reviews

Great app.. but..

This is a great simple app that really helps with ear and pitch training., The only issue I have with it is the clunky interface. It would be good to be able to select notes and chords etc with a drop down box as the swipe motions seem to be a bit hit and miss ., either due to me not remembering what swipe does what where (there’s no help menu.. u have to read the App Store page for the info) or or it not registering my swipes correctly. It would also be very helpful if you could set up some automated scales sequences to run through to practice along with pitch .. if it could do that I’d use the app for singing practice too. But as is., the app does what it says it does and is pretty good.
