WAC Smart Fans

I love my fans, the app should be equally as good. The software is buggy. You cannot create groups in the latest release. You get a popup that just says Tip and an OK button. The app is slow to find devices. It’s faster to go grab the remote than to use your phone. And there are buttons in the app for features that aren’t yet implemented (as confirmed by Support) like updating firmware on remotes. If a feature is not implemented, please remove the button from the app. For customers who buy your fans and other products for their quality, design, and attention to detail, they expect the same from your software products. The app is not yet up to par.

I bought 5 weather proof fans for a large covered porch, nothing but problems with the fans and app. Everything is going into the dumpster, a little over a year old.

All of sudden the app went dead and I can’t connect to my fan. I can sign in but there’s no more connection. Very frustrating and customer service hasn’t been any help

I had to reconnect one time but was really easy as their technical support was very easy to find online and they walked me through everything step by step in no time. The app is super easy to connect. My problem was likely user error. I highly recommend WAC products.

Connected without problems, all the app controls are quick and effective and voice control works well. I can’t access breeze feature with voice which is a problem because it’s always on but the app works well

The app does not connect to the cloud. Error message reads: “MF 30839854CA74 does not have cloud certificate”.

I have to try multiple times before the app wants to work

I wish this service had more features to interact with Siri like “Siri turn on the bedroom lights” shortcuts. It doesn’t even have widget support. App feels so outdated

The app doesn’t always respond go the commands

The fans are pretty — love the style! And they are quiet. But to flip the switch and the wait for the fan to come to life, slowly, is annoying. A minor aesthetic issue is plastic diffuser looks a little cheap on a fan that otherwise looks sharp. Now about the app… it’s quite functional if you really need infinite adjustment of fan speed and light intensity. But use requires a login. For security purposes, it makes sense, but if the fans are at a vacation home, it can be another annoyance in using the fan. Plus, at a vacation home it hinders convenient control of the fan by guests. Of course, the old 1-2-3-4 is a password, but maybe the fans/app need a little work.
