But…

Great! An advancewars clone! So fun! ….but, No way to restart a level when you make an error, which pretty much makes the game frustrating and unplayable, as when you fall behind there is no way to catch up, and killing off all of your units is boring and time consuming. Ouch.

The best.

Must have played this thousands of times.

Love this game

I’ve been playing since it’s release at the time I was 9 years old and I begged my mom to get it since it looked cool. Didn’t realise how fun and addicting it would be. I’ve downloaded and deleted it many times there’s just something about it that cant make me stop playing. It’s so simple and the one best turn-based strategy games I’ve ever played. I used to play it with my brother and sister during long car rides and I loved playing against them. I’m playing the game again to complete all the challenges and the last time i downloaded it I fully completed the campaign since it was too hard for me to finish when I first got it. I’ve played it a lot over the last 6 years and have many fond memories tied to it. This game is really underrated and not enough people play it. It’s a great game to pass the time and I wish the community was more active. I can’t believe I haven’t given the game a review until now and Thank you to the two creators who made this game and took them 4 years to make it. I can’t wait for Warbits+ O Ye I’m 15 now and this game was one of the few games that inspired me to want to study to become a software engineer/game developer

Almost advance wars

But not quite. People say the game gets difficult. I’d say, (I’m talking Late campaign here, btw) it gets tedious. The later levels are arbitrarily lengthened by things like impenetrable walls, and while it still requires skill, the game just slows to a Holt. It’s unfortunate. I deleted it because in one of the last missions, you make a single mistake, and you’re basically set back like, 6 turns to rebuild enough units to make another attempt — and you can’t skip enemy or friendly movements. They should add that I guess, as well as perhaps some sort of “confirm move” button (yeah, a lot of those aforementioned mistakes can come from the game being a touch screen. You have 2 of the same units at like, 8 or 9 health? Nah sorry you just accidentally combined them into a unit of 10 instead of attacking.) and, yeah probably like, an “undo move” button. I mean, I’d say get it on sale. It’s good, but it just lacks the polish of the series it’s apeing

Cool game, but needs some improvements

Love this game! So fun to play but being able make your own custom maps would make it a lot better. Also if you could upgrade troops while play a match, that would be cool to. Thx!

Version 1.2: Best value turn-based strategy game that I’ve ever played

Special Agent Sunshine on

PROS: 1-No ads and no in-app purchases! Buy it once and you’ll never pay again. And nobody can buy their way to victory. 2-Terrific graphics and sound effects. Look at the screenshots - clean and uncluttered, making it easy to follow what’s going on. 3-A variety of maps, matches, and options (like powers and fog) to keep you busy. 4-Online play is where Warbits really shines - games against human opponents are easy to start and easy to follow. HOW TO MAKE IT BETTER: 1-Put the Menu and End Turn buttons in different places - at present if you tap Menu twice by accident you would end your turn before making any moves. 2-Add player statistics which show how many games you won and lost. 3-Give players a rating based on their track record - that way we can play others who are at a similar level. 4-Add more information to the summary of the current online games, such as the map and which day it is. 5-Add the online option of co-op - two humans vs. one CPU. 6-Show the health of the infantry unit that’s in an APC (on the “Unload” button). 7-Improve the messaging system in online play - have a log of what’s written so that we don’t have to remember what we said two days ago. 8-The Options button has only one option: surrender. Either add more options or just have a Surrender button. 9-Ditch the cheesy dialogue in the single player mode. CONCLUSION: I’ve played several strategy apps, and this is my favourite of them all.

Hands down the best game on iPhone. Especially as a fan of the Advanced Wars games back in the day!

Good fun

This is what I've been looking for. Aesthetically it isn't my favourite but the game play is solid and feels like a nice easy version of advance wars on your iPad

So good, but so so hard 🤕

Can't stop playing, even though I always get defeated. Makes rare victories even sweeter

One of the best tactics games around.
