WARN HUB Wireless Control

Quit working after update. Winch works with cable switch connected. Does not work with wireless hub even though it’s connected with green light. Worked perfectly before the update. Deleted vehicle, winch and iPhone app. Reinstalled everything, still does not work 🙁

Unit wasn’t too bad to install. I had to put mine in a fairly inaccessible spot. Every time I go to use the app, yet another update has happened. Each time I have to take part of my machine to access the module to re-connect it to the app. Such a pain, just get the app right, and leave it alone! Or at least make it remember the module from last version. Very disappointed so far.

Makes you create a account before you can do anything and I had to wait over a hour just to test my winch.

App is not working. It gets to the second part of registration (name and location), but will not go any further.

Ive used the app and wireless controller for over a year and it was great. Now they ran a bunch of bad “upgrades” that caused me to be logged out. Went to use my winch in the bush, and of course bo app ‘cause no internet. Upgrades on “stability”? NO! Just complications, videos and marketing ploys. Boo! Keep app simple!!!!

The app can't be rotated or scrolled, so I can't use it on my Android 8.1 based smart rear view mirror with a short/wide screen.....I understand you wouldn't want it to switch or move while winching with a handheld smartphone, but it would be nice if the user could select the default orientation for a tablet or mirror like mine. The Airlift performance app does a good job at these orientation switch (and works on my smart mirror) if the Warn Hub developers are looking for guidance. ;-)

Works great for me! Winch in or out with no noticeable delay in response. I’ve only used the app within 30’ but it always works great. My only drawback is the fact that with the cabling for the system, Axon 45-S, the hub is only 21” from the winch. That challenged me on my rig to mount it where I could see the light and access the button. I used a solid frame mounting point but it’s going to get muddy and go under water. With its IP rating all should be good though. Love the view of battery, load, and winch temp.

This wireless controller is an awesome addition to my gear bag. No more fumbling to get my remote or forgetting to check the batteries of the old wireless controller. Simple to setup and it’s always ready to go. Thanks for the Warn engineers who put this product through its paces!
