watchSugar

Published by: Flairify

Description

watchSugar is an Apple Watch app that lets you view your Dexcom Share blood sugar data on the face of your watch via a complication.
There are two simple steps to get up and running: 1) log into your Dexcom Share account in watchSugar's phone app and 2) pick the watchSugar complication on your Apple Watch's watch face.
Please note: watchSugar is able to update every 17 minutes on average. Using the Modular watch face and assigning watchSugar to the large central complication area allows you to also view the timestamp of watchSugar's latest reading.
Note: Your privacy is of the utmost concern. watchSugar stores your credentials securely in the iOS keychain and never sends any outside of the app, aside from to Dexcom.

Awesome

This application actually works on my watch. Which is more than I can say about Dexcom’s app.

Watch complication broken

SickToMuch on

United States

The Apple Watch complication to allow Watch Sugar is now broken. I turned off the complication and went to turn it back on and it is no longer even showing as available. Watch Sugar is installed on my phone and on the watch but no complication. I tried contacting the email address for the developer but no response. Shame because this provides valuable information on low blood sugar episodes during the night.

Sad when people make apps

It’s sad when people make apps that do not work at all like this one keeps on crashing

Too much delay :(

Svenuce on

This needs to be pulling data every five minutes. It’s typically hours behind actual which isn’t safe. Truthfully the Dexcom app and follow should have this functionality and it’s embarrassing that an Indy dev has to pick up the slack here.

Read Health data

Jezerferris on

I think you should unlink the app from Dexcom and let an average user to use with the data of Health App from iPhone. I use FreeStyle Libre + BluCon + beta version of xDrip for iOS and want to see my glucose readings in my AppleWatch.

Needs to check quicker

JustinJDean on

United States

It’s about 20 to 30 minutes between readings which is way too long. It looks great and I love having the number on my watch face but it needs to be quicker to be useful.

I just got my Series 2 watch so I could see data from this app- no dice... it won't display data at all... does there need to be an update for the 2 series watch? HELP!

Rhynno81 on

I love this app idea, but have had WatchSugar on my new Apple Watch series 2 for two days and only getting "no signal" as the reading. I've looked everywhere online to find an answer but no luck. Please find an answer!!! Thanks
