Waterlogue Reviews

Junk

Gives a small handful of examples and none of them are representative of watercolour painting

Amazing

Georgia O’Keefe in my dreams on

Such a fun ap. I have turned so many photos into charming little paintings for myself and for friends. It doesn’t do people’s faces well, but great for animals, landscapes, and other non-human subjects (with exception of some infants & todlers, but no guarantees there). If you have access to a high quality printer you can print the “paintings” on watercolor paper for a remarkable faux work of art. Once you play around a bit you can figure out which “techniques” work best for you, and adjust light & darkness to your liking. It’s so much fun to experiment with your photos.

Not happy with resolution

D Teed on

Samples seemed to indicate a larger notion of the canvas size. It’s actually much lower resolution than the phone camera and much is lost in the painting version. It might suit some people but the example I tried with a portrait didn’t abstract the scene well enough.

Great app...

I have been using this app for several years. It’s like magic..watercolor before your eyes. Try it and I am sure you will love using it as well.

I’ve had the app for years and keep hoping there will be an option to get more detail or some in-app settings to allow you to tweak the photo there to get a better result.

I’ve been looking for something like this for a while. Great way to send off quick and unique birthday cards of your photography to your friends and family. Worth the price.

Updated filters?

Hey tinrocket, love the app, recently got an iPhone after years away on other devices and this was one of the first apps I redownloaded. I was surprised at how there hasn’t been any major update in over 2 years. Is there any plans on bringing in new filters or download options?
