Better than Quickbooks!
I switched from Quickbooks, this is less expensive and so much easier to use. I love the ability to schedule invoices and receive payment.

I switched from Quickbooks, this is less expensive and so much easier to use. I love the ability to schedule invoices and receive payment.
After going through the process of getting approval to use the credit card services with their 3% charge, a customer attempted to make a payment and when that payment was made they did not like that the husband paid with his card and emailed me requesting all of my personal info as well as screenshots of messages between me and the customer among many other items. That email informed me payments would be frozen with 48hrs, no it was done immediately and they held $350 of payments for rendered services from me. I tried to go in to add the husbands name into the invoice and no dice. They do NOT listen and continually interrupt you when you do finally get someone to call you and they don’t have a customer service number available to call. DO NOT USE PAYMENT OPTIONS
THE FOLLOWING ARE THREE CRUCIAL REVISIONS TO THIS APP’S FUNCTIONALITY BASED ON 2 YEARS OF DAILY USAGE AS WELL AS WHAT OTHERS HAVE BEEN SAYING This has been posted in the app’s feedback section. 1. CUSTOMER SERVICE It is no secret that customer service remains the #1 complaint of Wave users. The high turnover rate can unequivocally be traced to the abhorrent wait times for Support queries. Whether it is a matter of cost, staffing, or the business model itself, this app has grown large enough to address the issue. If it were 3 years ago, this issue would be passable. If I’m not mistaken, the current pricing tier is $16 a month for PRO users. I have not yet investigated the wait times since subscribing last year, hopefully they have improved or at least actively working on a solution even for non-paid users. 2. EMPLOYEE/STAFF INVOICE EMBEDDING When creating an invoice, there is currently no way to distinguish employee or staff involvement. There should be an option to indicate, within invoice creation, a particular employee or team member by name via a drop down menu placed strategically between Invoice Number and PO Number. Additionally, options should be given to customize the way this value is represented on the invoice. E.g. agent, rep, driver, user, creator. Kind of like “Cashier: Emily” on our restaurant receipts but reflected on the invoice. Another possibility could be creating a team roster or embedding the drop down list from our existing “employee” and “contractor/vendor” lists. In addition, when sorting invoices under the “All” and “Unpaid” tabs, add an option to sort by “Staff Alphabetical” and “Staff Recent.” That way invoices can be viewed either in alphabetical order by employee first name or by recently created invoices also grouped by employee name where recent employees populate toward the top of sorting, respectively. 3. INVOICE MARKING NO PAY We need a way to mark an invoice as “No Pay” or “Delinquent” that way it can populate under Paid invoices but it doesn’t sit under Unpaid invoices. It should be marked or flagged in the list with a small icon but behave as a paid invoice purely for categorization and accounting purposes. The closest way to do this currently is to mark it Paid and add a 100% discount but manually indicate it in the Notes. 4. CREATE AN IPAD VERSION Much of the underlying code can be reused, just give us the copy and paste app adjusted for iPad 11 and iPad Mini screen sizes. That way we can use iPad features li
I used Wave for my taxes last year and it was great. It was a free accounting platform where I could import my bank info and it was easy to use. All of a sudden, they took this feature away without notifying us. Not only that, but you can’t talk to a person only unless you have a subscription with them or pay them in another way. Lastly, they have a phone number on their website which is inactive. Don’t trust these people with your money.
Sending receipt. but if check bounced no option to request payment again
If you’re currently using Quickbooks, don’t make the switch. The paid version of Wave is not worth the money. I made the mistake of assuming that this accounting app would have PayPal integration and it doesn’t. After canceling my 1 day old subscription, they told me that I couldn’t receive a refund because it says so in the Terms of Service. Regardless of what the fine print says, I feel that it’s a bit shady for a business to not offer a refund when a customer is not satisfied with the product. I honestly feel robbed. This app has potential but it’s not worth switching from a more robust app like Quickbooks.
This is a faceless company that refuses to engage with their customers. They have incorrectly filed and tracked IRS payments, and then refused to speak with me on the phone for almost an entire year. Still ongoing. Use quickbooks instead.
I understand that fees/taxes are involved in order to process a credit card and then pay to my bank account. However, why does it cost over $200 to do so? I had a $7,200 invoice that was paid through the Wave app and I only got $6,989. i’ll just have to force my clients to pay through Mail only from now on I guess. Learn from my mistake and compensate for their nonsense fees to use the app pay out OR don’t ever use the payout feature for large invoices. I hope the app developers are happy with themselves. You’ve essentially forfeited a week of groceries for me. Thanks.
I’ve been using it for 3 years. I had a question about upgrading and wanted to talk to someone, but they don’t allow you to talk to anyone unless you have the upgraded version…. But you can’t talk to someone about upgrading… it makes no sense. I guess it’s time for QuickBooks.
I’ve been contacting support for a month now and I only received 2 responses and my issue is still not solved shameful !
