Description

Wayward Souls is an action-adventure game built for quick playthroughs and massive amounts of replay value. It was inspired by Spelunky, Secret of Mana, and our previous game, Mage Gauntlet.
Procedurally generated random levels mean that every time you play the game, it's a different experience. Control one of six characters, all with their own unique playstyles, abilities, and equipment. Explore and fight for survival, in combat where your tactics, positioning, and timing matter.
More Features:
- Fancy control scheme with no virtual buttons or sticks to fumble over.
- Unlock new areas, for increasingly punishing difficulty.
- 13 area types, all with different monsters, potential traps, and rare encounters.
- Each character can find equipment combinations that change their gameplay.
- Victory is based on your increasing skill as a player, not solely on grinding.
- Hats.
- No IAP ever, even for the hats. All content updates will be free for our fans.
- Unprecedented scope and variety for an action-adventure game on iOS, maybe anywhere.

One of the best

This is truly one of the best action RPGs on mobile. Rocket if you could just make it to where we could listen to our own audio while playing I would appreciate it. I’d like to listen to my podcasts and audiobooks while I play. Thank you for making such great games without microtransactions! Truly a hero of the people.

Not great…or good

pointless to play on a phone without a controller attachment. Hot boxes for characters are too large and awkward making it not a game of skill but of chance. I’ll be requesting a refund, my home screen is more fun to look at then trying to play this game on a phone.

Really fun game

It’s super fun but it really needs to have a cloud save option…. 🙏🙏☁️☁️☁️🤩

You cannot shoot or attack diagonally, this game has been on my wishlist for a while so I was excited to start it up. Lost interest about 2 minutes in when I was killed because I had to line up with an enemy, stand still, shoot and then the enemy would move out of the way. It’s ridiculous that you cannot shoot diagonally in a game like this. Frustrating, annoying, and a waste of time. If you could shoot diagonally I would give this five stars.

Awesome except

when the game glitches and I’m locked in a room with no enemies spawning and no way out. A heartbreaking glitch.

Mobile Masterpiece

This game is the perfect successor to Mage Gauntlet, which I adored as a teenager. Though I would love if I could sync my game data in iCloud, so I could continue playing on my iPad! Love you guys ❤️

Undeniably one of the best mobile games

We all know mobile games these days are senseless, low effort, ad revenue sponges. But this game has held up for years and years. The gameplay is fun, the content is expansive, and the experience is an amazing time. This is one of the few mobile games I am actually happy I spent money on, and I hope and pray that it doesn’t become unsupported and unplayable.

Well Made But Not For Me

If you’re generally a fan of Roguelikes, you can stop reading here and hit the Buy button. It’s well crafted and mechanically deep, certainly worth it for a fan of the genre. But, if you’re like me, this game won’t be the Roguelike to get you into the genre. Despite procedurally generated levels, I found it maddeningly repetitive, without enough progression between runs to feel different or varied. The separate characters played somewhat differently initially but the game felt stale pretty quickly regardless of who you’re playing with. This isn’t coming from someone who played an hour, died a bunch, and quit. I logged enough hours and made enough progress to say that I think I understand what the game has to offer. It just isn’t for me. TLDR: if you like Roguelikes and don’t mind replaying the same section repeatedly, it’s a very impressive mobile version of the genre. If you aren’t already sold on Roguelikes, like me, I’d recommend you skip it.

Can you make it so when I delete the game I can save my progress, and make it so that I can save my progress across different devices?
