Wealth Position FAQ
Is Wealth Position free?
Yes, Wealth Position is completely free and it doesn't have any in-app purchases or subscriptions.
Is Wealth Position legit?
Not enough reviews to make a reliable assessment. The app needs more user feedback.
One of the cleanest UX I’ve seen on a budget app. Easy to navigate and understand your finances. Can keep it simple or really get down to the nitty gritty as this thing has extensive features. Definitely different from other apps. Also, the web version is pretty neat and intuitive. Highly recommend giving this a try.
Best Financial Planning App Hands Down!
After Mint finally forced me to find an alternative, I thoroughly reviewed the top competitors and found this hidden gem called Wealth Position. You won't see it highlighted on any of the big articles yet, but don't let that fool you, Wealth Position not only can hold its own with the big names, but it actually beats them in several areas.
In particular Wealth Position gives a lot of control over your finances and not just gimmicks. It has budgeting and auto synchronization with your bank accounts like pretty much all the other ones, but where it differentiates itself is in how it allows you to drill down into the nuances of all your transactions, net worth, and cash flow. It's essentially a personal accounting application. I also appreciate the fact that it allows you to adjust and fine tune your budget and transactions for any given date (past, present, and future) not just the current month.
It takes a little bit more effort to fully set it up, but it is worth it as it gives you a wealth of information especially with regards on what to expect not just in the short term, but the long term all the way to retirement.
Finally, their customer support team is amazing and extremely responsive. I'm also particularly impressed at how fast they implement suggestions when they are particularly straightforward, usually within a day or two.

An upgrade over Mint
I've been trying out this app for a few weeks, since I learned that Mint would be shut down. So far, I think it's an improvement over Mint as a personal finance tracker.
The app isn't shy about using more advanced accounting and finance terminology, but it also provides some helpful guides to help you understand what everything means. Once you understand the concepts, the increased functionality over Mint is really helpful. I especially appreciate that historical account balances are calculated based on actual transaction dates, as opposed to Mint, which would just take a snapshot at the end of month and lock it in place for all time. You can also adjust other historical asset balances like physical cash and vehicle value, which you couldn't do on Mint. The ability to forecast future balances based on your budgets is pretty neat, too.
Linking my cash and credit accounts for automatic syncing going forward, and importing my old transactions, was pretty straightforward. You can't sync investment accounts yet, but so far I don't find it a dealbreaker.
The app support has also been phenomenal. Ask a question and you will get a thoughtful response very quickly. I also reported a bug today and it was fixed within a couple hours, which is crazy.
