This could be a good app except that it’s constantly begging for subscription money.

Very accurate, intuitive, and useful real-time radar data and forecasts. The price, however, at $49.99/yr is not justified when compared to other radar imaging sources. When I tried to cancel it after a month of use the developer refused to provide even a prorated refund. Consequently I have cancelled my subscription.

App is nice and simple; no ads or other nonsense that I don’t care about like the Weather Channel has. The only thing I’m a little disappointed in is that the radar only goes 6 hours into the future. I Can see a 72hr radar with the Weather Channel. I’d also like to see more granular hourly weather. When you’re in the construction/utility sector, it’s hard to plan out your work week when all you can see is “rain” on Thursday. Rain could mean a brief shower at 10am or a full day washout.

Too many pop up offers for premium services getting in the way of using the app.

What can be said for an app I purchased a few years ago as a one-time purchase; now I get inundated to subscribe on an annual basis for additional features. Read: “I don’t want too!” Graphics are good once you get passed the “CLICK HERE TO SUBSCRIBE” or “CLICK HERE TO RESTORE”. Just stop asking already…!

Premium Hi Def Weather Radar is an excellent radar app with daily temperature and precipitation forecasts, vivid radar graphics, long duration predictive radar, and storm cell identification and direction displayed as well. Specifically, rotational cells are identified which is extremely valuable when tornado warnings are issued in your area. In addition, radar data is available throughout the world which I have not seen in other Radar apps.

When we find apps we like, my spouse or I buy and pay for them with the same credit card and with no problem share them between us but this one does not share and wants us each to pay for a subscription. She has not done that and I will not recommend this app to any other families I know.

Update: I was just reminded of my rating via email because the app developer reached out and wants more information to resolve the issue. I would like to report that this has not happened for a while now and I am happy to give this app a 5 star rating. Thanks for this awesome app! Original post: I’ve been using this app for a few years now, it’s been nothing short of great. In the last few months, when I open the app and it shows my location, but if I try to move out of my area or zoom out to see where a storm is, it will jump back to my location. The only fix I found was to delete the app and reinstall. I did this one and will try again. This issue is NOT happening on my fiancé’s phone. I’m not sure why it’s happening to me. I will try the same method before and hope that it works again. If there was another radar that was better or equal, I would uninstall it and be done, but this app is superior to all, and I just want it to work correctly. Please advise if there’s something you know of that could be causing this for me when it’s not for others. I want to give this app the 5 stars it deserves.
