A must for actors.
This is a godsend for actors. Not only are you able to brush up on your skills but you can make money whilst doing it. It has made me feel useful and allowed me to keep my instincts fresh. Massively recommend! As a professional actor of nearly forty years I have found this app revolutionary.
Inconsistent notifications for readers
Sometimes I get them, sometimes I don’t. Same goes for email and sms notifications. It’s really a problem, everything else is fine.
Can’t Log in
I can’t log in on any device. When I subscribed I was logged in on my iPhone, and support told me to log out of all devices, and reset my password. After resetting my password multiple times, I am unable to log on with any device. What a waste of $10.
Poor Imterface
The app didn’t save any of my recordings so now I have to self-tape all over again. Also, I was unable to see my reader on camera:
Love Concept but Zero customer service
Love this concept… and like everyone else wished that I would have thought of it lol. It’s been incredibly convenient to book a reader at a moments notice. And its also been a lot of fun assisting other actors with their auditions (as a reader/coach). Most have been amazing humans, however, a couple have taken advantage of the system (and ME) and did not pay for the session. I have emailed support several times… ZERO response. Which is very disappointing. Clearly they are making money off of this concept. Investing some of it in I customer support would be great!
Instant reader - excited artists
Weaudition is literally one of the best places to jump on instantly to have someone passionate who wants to read your scenes with you. My wife hates doing auditions with me, so I can easily jump on WA and find someone who is passionate and super helpful. I don’t mind paying the annual subscription and then compensating great readers for their help. As an actor I fully appreciate and understand the actor journey. This is an awesome community where I know I can go to find reliable readers whether for an audition taping or just rehearsal. Also it’s stellar on the road!!! Ty WA Team.
Glitchy app, nonexistent customer service
DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS. All my devices are up to date and I’m still experiencing bugs on the most basic things like not even being able to upload my headshot. Contacted customer service twice and no response.
Phone recording issue?
Love the app but have been experiencing issues with recording my sessions using my phone. I don’t have a laptop so I have to use my phone for self tapes. The past 3 sessions on the phone I’ve been unable to record - I just get error messages. How do we fix this?
Free readers?
I don’t understand why I paid $10 a month just so I have to pay someone to be my reader. I thought I was signing up for a community of actors who take pleasure in sharing and reading for other people for free and get to have readers for free in return. I came across zero free readers.
