HOW IT WORKS
Web Video Cast™ is a browser, which allows you to stream videos of movies, TV shows, and other media from the internet to a streaming device or smart tv. Web Video Caster grabs the video URL inside the web page, sends it to the streaming device (i.e. Chromecast or DLNA device), and then plays the video directly from the content provider. This ultimately saves your mobile device’s battery. It also detects subtitles on the web page. Web Video Cast™ does not host these videos. This is not a mirroring app.

GET STARTED
Follow these simple step-by-step instructions to start streaming:
1. Find a video online that you want to watch.
2. Make sure this video can play on mobile browsers without Flash.
3. Connect to your streaming device.
4. Play the video as you normally would. Or, click the play button on the toolbar.
PREMIUM FEATURES**
• No in-app advertising
• Most visited sites
• Bookmarks

**This functionality does not apply universally to all streaming devices.
LIMITATIONS & DISCLOSURES
As with all apps, there are some limitations we are aware of and want you to know about up front.
• We are in no way associated with any web media providers and we do not have control over the content they provide.
• Web Video Caster does not support nor play Flash or FLV videos.
• The app does not support tab casting, like the Chromecast extension for the PC web browser.
• We cannot do anything to fix issues that arise on the server side (media content provider) such as failure to play or buffering, which is especially common during heavy load times and weekends.

Web Video Cast Reviews

Bit janky but does the job

Sian Nelson on

Easy way to cast media from any website from your mobile to your smart tv. A bit janky and not the best UI but once you get used to it it’s great.

Best FREE chromecast app

i.renesimeti on

NZ user here and I have been able to watch movies for FREE. I haven’t been bombarded by ads and as I said it’s FREE, so you don’t have to pay anything to watch quality HD movies. Not like other chromecast apps that charge you a subscription to watch. This is by far my fav app.

It actually works!

This is the first out of so many screen mirroring apps that I’ve downloaded/paid for that actually works. Was only $6.99 too. Doesn’t try to fraudulently take money from you after downloading, so easy to connect to our TV too. I highly recommend! ❤️

Love this app just needs tweaking

Been using this for over a year now, really good. Have noticed it’s slowed a bit recently. If you open TikTok while casting to TV the video will buffer and you have to disconnect and do it again. So you can’t really use your phone while watching something. Would be great to have this resolved!

Was good until it wasn’t

PeacefulMoonGirl on

This app was really good until a few days ago when it updated. Now it just behaves like a regular browser and only shows me a bunch of 4 second videos that mean nothing. The search box that would drop down with the movies/shows has gone. What am I doing wrong?

Good app

This app is the best one I’ve used, only downside is after about ten minutes on a video I’m watching it stops casting and I have to cast it again.

I LOVE THIS APP

So I’ve been using his app for a few months now to connect to my tv because I hate watching shows/movies on my phone and this app is amazing!! It’s so easy to navigate and the best part is I can watch anything I want with Soap2day sometimes webcast can be abit annoying but it’s easy to bounce back from any problem!! DEF GET THIS APP

Works great but only for 1 movie

JUstinRylie on

This is probably the best app I've come across so far and it allows for subs as well which is great. Only problem is with buffers - from observation it works smoothly for one movie then the 2nd one suffers a lot of buffers. My suspicion is that the temp memory/cache capacity is already filled so needs cleansing. By exploring more options in the app I found "reset browser" function which I hope will do the work but have not tried yet - will update once I have a verdict

Highly recommend this app.

great app w a few adjustments

timjohnson__ on

Great app, is the best i’ve found. Was amazing at the start when I first downloaded it & started using it however, now is slower. If you open another app (esp. tiktok/ig) while playing it will start buffering and having to swipe between the app every few seconds to keep the buffering from loading. Not sure if this changed in a recent update but do hope it gets fixed.
