Week Calendar - Smart Planner

Since the last update I have to put info in twice to save something to a reoccurring event. I put it in and save and it doesn't save. I add the same info again and this time it save. Very annoying and frustrating. This has been a good app for a long time but this needs to be fixed or I'll be looking for a new calendar app soon.

What the other recent 1-star reviews are saying is true, and what the company says (“You shouldn’t have to pay for the same features twice”) is false. I am yet another loooong-time user who purchased the app in the early days. I used to sing its praises to everyone. There’s been little bugs that have crept in, but nothing too bothersome. And I’ve avoided updating as much as possible once I started to see folks complaining about intrusive ads, and subscriptions. This past week I noticed I was unable to edit recurring event info—I would change the days or the number of repetitions, but it wouldn’t save it. This was a big issue for me because I am constantly entering and editing recurring events. I thought maybe I could try an app update without losing any features I’ve had since I purchased but I backed up my phone just in case. Glad I did, because once I updated, I couldn’t use day or month views anymore, only week view and agenda, without it requiring a pro subscription. I think there were other limitations, but that was enough to make the app pointless for me. I spent 24 hours restoring my phone from backup, and fortunately the app was back to what it was before I upgraded. But I lost use of my phone for a whole day, and a couple of my older apps that I use regularly no longer work (because their companies are defunct). Bottom line is, I don’t tell anyone about this app now, and I sure am hoping the other options out there now have caught up over the past decade because I may have to switch…sigh.

I’ve been using this calendar app for many years. I absolutely love having the agenda layout, which I don’t believe too many other calendars have. But suddenly I’ve been having a lot of issues where my events are disappearing, and the app is suddenly extremely glitchy. I am so disappointed. I am going to have to go to another Calendar app because I don’t even know what some of the appointments that disappeared from my calendar are at this point. I’ve never had any issues with this app and now there’s so many. Time to say goodbye to this calendar. I can’t believe how bad it got.

Do not upgrade if you already have it! You’ll lose the ability to look at future months and other functionality. “General optimization and stability improvements” = lost functionality and $30/yr nag screens each time I try to use previous version functionality. Dishonest! Clicking ”restore purchase” does nothing.

My wife and i have used this app for years. Its kept us organized. However recently our iphones are not syncing. I just sent you an email

It’s a scary day when you wake up and all your information is removed from your view. I’ve used this app since 2012 and it houses over a decade of charted events, notes, important data along with future appts and events. Imagine opening it one day to find all that information locked behind a paywall. And, after paying for the requested amount for the same plan ($24.99) you’ve had for 13 years, you REMAIN locked out. Evidentially the ransom to regain access to all my personal information is now $49.99! There was no notice of these changes, no option to transfer your information or even view it- it was just hijacked overnight. My heart is broken for all those nostalgic events I won’t be able to browse through from the past- including my children’s first bdays, first days of school etc. It’s all just gone. Unless ofc I pay the $49.99. And even then, I don’t know that I’ll have access. SHAME ON YOU.

I use this app daily to manage my schedule. I have recommended it to everyone I know. I especially like the function where I can add calendar events to my husband's calendar as well as my own. It has so many useful functions including the ability to set up multiple notifications of upcoming events that are on my calendar. I especially like the agenda view because I can see a whole week at once in detail. The issues I have with the calendar, which I wish they would fix, are (1) the search function seems to be limited. I’ve been using the Calendar for several years and I am not able to search multiple years. (2) it often kicks me out when I am trying to add an event to the calendar which is quite annoying.

I paid for app awhile back. Updated the app and now it’s subscription and I can’t access my calendar. Bait & switch. Terrible. Don’t get this app. Just use Apple calendar if on iPhone. I hate paying for an app, then they change and lock you out. Let’s get this info out to everybody! They need to know.

Ive been using Week Cal since 2011. Now with the new update, I have to pay a subscription to use the app. I’ll be finding a new way to track my events.

The new update will not allow me to look ahead to the next month or look back to the previous month. I get a page where I have to pay. This is not fair. Is there no free version still available? Can I still use the free version? If not does anyone know of a good free calendar app similar to this one?
