The free Weimar+ app is your multimedia guide through the cultural city of Weimar. In addition to audio tours and atmospheric audio walks through downtown Weimar and the museums and historical parks of the Klassik Stiftung Weimar, the app offers numerous multimedia information and tours on the topics of Weimar classicism, modernism and historical parks.
You can use an interactive map to explore the language area of the city of Weimar, the Park on the Ilm and the Belvedere Castle Park individually for yourself. With activated GPS, you can display all audio stops in the immediate vicinity and go on a discovery tour using a filterable recommendation system. Are you looking for the nearest WiFi hotspot or museum shop? No problem - in our legend you can display all service information about your visit.
Discover our game with AR functions in the Park on the Ilm and in the Nietzsche Archive. Packed in various small puzzles, the individual locations can be explored from a new perspective. Help us document the changes at selected sites for our future resarch efforts and learn more about these sublime views. In the Herzogin Anna Amalia Bibliothek, an AR application gives you the opportunity to take books off the shelves and take a look at the treasures of the famous library. There is also a 3D application for the Nietzsche Archive, with which Nietzsche's death room can be explored virtually.
The app helps you prepare for and follow up your visit with in-depth information, interviews with our curators, video features of the artists and gardeners, hearing a matter of debates that address the political and cultural present as well as event recommendations.
The featured tours allow you to immerse yourself in our exhibitions and parks and are accompanied by handicap accessible services and programmes for children. The app is designed to regularly update new content so that it can better cater to your needs.

Ursprünglicher Text: Eigentlich sind es 5 Sterne, aber leider friert die App seit Neuestem immer ein, wenn ich auf „Kalender“ tippe. Leider gibt es keine andere Möglichkeit der Kontaktaufnahme, also versuche ich es auf diesem Weg.
Die App hat mir vor einem Monat, als ich begann, unsere Reise nach Weimar zu planen, hervorragend gefallen. Intuitiv zu bedienen, sehr viele Informationen, eigentlich perfekt. Ich hoffe, dass der Kalender gefixt werden kann, dann ändere ich diese Rezension sofort.

Stürzt gern ab
Die App stürzt gern ab. Es gab Touren für Kinder, einfacher Sprache, andere sprachen usw. Leider hab ich keine „normale“ Tour gefunden.
Geht so
Für den Park und die Anna Amalia Bibliothek schön, verbraucht aber natürlich auch viel Akku. In den Museen halte ich mich jetzt doch lieber an die Audio Guides, da die App beim nutzen meiner Kamera immer die aktuelle Ausstellung schließt und man dann wieder alles neu suchen muss. Das war nervig und die App ist somit für mich hinfällig, wenn man auch Fotos machen will.
Mäßig-nicht zeitgemäß
Bauhaus-Museum: Menü-Überschriften sind nicht auf Anhieb schlüssig, um zu Beginn des Besuchs auf ( chrono-) logische Führung durch Ausstellung zu gelangen. Auch fehlen zum Teil verknüpfende Bezüge der Beiträge untereinander sowie immer wieder zum zeitgeschichtlichen Hintergrund. Besonders peinlich und ärgerlich: Die Leistungen zahlreicher Bauhaus- Künstlerinnen werden entweder gar nicht erwähnt oder nur knapp unter dem Gesichtspunkt: Neues Äußeres etc.. Obwohl zudem bekannt ist, dass sogar viele Ideen „geklaut“ wurden. 2024 zum Schämen.
Beobachtungen im Bauhaus
Schön, dass es eine App gibt!
Zum Besuch im Bauhaus-Museum:
- In der Ausstellung waren die Hinweise auf die Audioclips ziemlich versteckt ... sie sollten besser erkennbar angebracht sein
- Zur 1.7 fand ich die Exponate leider nicht
- Zur 2.4 fand ich den Audioclip leider nicht
- Die App blockierte das Smartphone nach Anhören eines Clips mit dunklem Screen und es war unklar, wie man die App / die Oberfläche reaktiviert; irgendwann klappte es dann
- Ich hoffe, diese Kritik trägt ein wenig zur Verbesserung der App bei
Gute Idee und verbesserungsbedürftig
Inhaltlich gut aufgemacht und informativ. Leider konnten die Inhalte in der Anna Amalia Bibliothek nicht wiedergegeben werden. Außerdem kann die Lautstärke beim iPhone nicht verändert werden. Schade!

Wir sind in der Amalia Bibliothek und können die App (Ton) nicht nutzen! Nur drehen…
