Wellspent: Replace Scrolling

I've noticed that the app no longer works correctly. I suspected something was afoot, because I haven't seen the wellspent screens show up in any way over the last month (if not longer). I've just tried using an app limited to 20 minutes. I actively used it forabout half an hour. Wellspent shows that I used 6 out of the 20 minute limit. I loved the app and I was willing to pay for the core set of features. But this no longer makes sense. For an app this expensive with a subscription business model, this is unacceptable, hence the review.

Love the premise, but the pay wall is a big deal ^^ you can’t really do anything when you’re constantly asked to upgrade

Didnt want to purchase this was supposed to try it. In 2 days i noticed charge on my bank account and asked for refund but was denied.

When I exceed the limit, I get an error screen when opening Facebook, saying “Error: ShieldKit.ShieldManagerError:7”. A funny thing about it is that I have only two options there: dismiss the message by tapping a button or get out by tapping a label below it. What’s funny about it is that both cause the app to exit, so I can’t run Facebook at all. Maybe it’s even better 😃. Just a note for the developers: the message is a request to send you the screenshot, but you’re not providing there any details how!

Ridiculous pricing tag for something that should be a lifetime deal. It’s a good app, but the price and features that come with the premium are incomparable.

Idea is great, execution too, but the functionality of it will stay the same, it’s not like there will be a new content added. Would be great as a onetime purchase but it is not Netflix to pay for it every month. It is half the monthly cost of Spotify Premium (when comparing with cheaper, yearly plan of this app) and amount of utility is incomparable. Ridiculous pricing and pricing model. Oh and not being forthcoming about the price and the model but only reveling it after configuration is done suggests that you probably also think that about this monatization model is bonkers, relying on some sunk cost psychological trap instead of clearly representing the price.

It just works. It's easy to setup and the app is user friendly. Not sure though if all my app data usage is sent to your servers 😉

Woke up and needed to access a different App immediately only to find my screen locked. It took scrolling through several pages to unlock it when time was of the essence.

This app worked great the first week or two, my screen time decreased considerably, then I noticed I was not getting notifications consistently. The type of notifications also changed and they became much easier to simply click and bypass (used to be you had to press and hold- which I found much more effective in making me pause and choose to log off). I wrote customer service and was told there was nothing they could do. Then I stopped getting regular notifications. They only popped every 30 minutes even though I set it to 5 minutes. The ap stopped logging how much time I spent on social media. Then it stopped working for days or weeks at a time. Now the app is down completely while they work through “technical difficulties.” Yikes. Customer service has been unhelpful and will not process a refund. Do not waste your money on this app!

Ok so I was only using it for a week after I started paying for it and it was locking me out of the apps that I told it to restrict and I wasn’t on them for very long and I had no indication when I could access them again. Also time spent on the apps isn’t well calculated and I cannot go back and see the times from previous days. Just feel like $60 is not a justifiable price, just wish I would have fully realized that before the week was up.
