Western National FAQ
Is Western National free?
Yes, Western National is completely free and it doesn't have any in-app purchases or subscriptions.
Is Western National legit?
⚠️ The Western National app has poor ratings and negative feedback. Users seem unsatisfied with its performance or features.
This app is nothing more than a terrible “wrapper” for their website. There is no biometric login capabilities. Can’t really access the policy documents. No way to easily see your insurance card(s). Just make sure you keep getting the paper insurance cards because this app is garbage.
Awful
What a terrible experience every month. And now I need to update my cc for payments and it only asks for the expiration month and not year. So I get an error that my date is wrong. Is cheap insurance even worth it?
Not worth it
App is slow and crashes often. No option for fingerprint login. Links for documents don’t work. Not sure why this app is available. I have to use my computer for most activities because the app doesn’t work well.
Can’t Even Log In
I can’t get past the 2 factor Authenticator. It sends me a passcode to my email, I enter it, the screen refreshes asking for another passcode, I get a new passcode to same email, and repeat. Thought it was my VPN at first, but no.
Worthless
This has to be the most worthless app in the App Store. It does absolutely nothing that it’s suppose to. I find it inconceivable that in todays technological world that they can’t get this app right, Western National should be embarrassed to have their name attached to this garbage.
Sooooooo slow
This app is so terribly slow. Just trying to see when my car insurance is due, won’t even open it and when it does it tells me the amount but not the date.
Is this thing on?
It crashes more often then works, at least we know they don’t spend our money to pay anyone to keep this up to date.
Garbage
So bad I’m in the process of switching insurance companies. Get with the times!
Terrible
Had for over a year. Awful from day one. Today it’s just a blank screen...nothing... Why isn’t anyone working to improve? Reviewing docs is confusing. Hard to find proof of insurance cards. Payment is difficult. Have a PAY NOW button. Have a YOUR POLICY DOCUMENTS button. Have a PROOF OF INSURANCE button. Have a CONTACT US button. How hard can that be?
Just carry paper copies of your cards
Login and password process is extremely cumbersome. It forces password resets that disrupt what you are trying to do. I only need to access this app once or twice a year to renew registration or some such and it always forces a reset. I was hoping this app would reduce the amount of clutter in my wallet and cars but it utterly fails at that. I end up having to use the main website from a computer rather than fight with this mess.
