Westminster Chimes Lite

A friend recommended Westminster Chimes to me and I love it! I've always liked chiming clocks, so it's great to have Westminster Chimes on my phone, it sounds exactly like a chiming clock you'd have in your house, in fact I like it so much I've bought the pro version. I love that there's several different chimes to choose from too, although the Westminster Quarters are my favourite. I'm completely blind, so thanks for making it accessible with VoiceOver as well.

I wanted something to make my phone ping/chime every hour so I didn’t loose track. Found this and paid 99p to enable me to set it up properly. Lots of choice for chimes and timing but opted for Westminster chimes on the half hour and bongs on the hour. At first I thought the chimes seemed a bit slow and would have liked the option to speed them up but after a couple of weeks they sound just right. It’s perfect and does exactly what it says it will. I have it running from 9 am to 5 p.m. but you can set whatever period you like. If you want to be able to know the hour without having to look at your phone then this is perfect. Definitely recommend.

When you are listening to the radio on your ipad while in the shower or washing up and have wet hands but you have a meeting coming up and need to keep an eye on the tome without handling the device - you might have wet hands or washing up gloves on its extremely useful to have an audio clock that lets you know the time every so often. There used to be grandfather clock apps but they werent carried to the more recent iOS versions. This is the only one I know of. Interface is old (thinks its on an iphone and doesnt reflow) but hey, it works, so who cares. With a better interface I would have given it 5 stars.

Got this after my clock’s chimes stopped working, I Couldn’t be happier. Not only does it sound better but it chimes every quarter and is punctual to the second. I now keep my iPod next to the clock. Thanks again. Just one thing. It would be nice to have a pitch control on the strike, it sounds a bit low to me.

Believe it or not this is actually quite a good app, the Westminster chimes are really good with quite a realistic sound when played via my iPhone 7. Nice one!

I can only assume the reason they charge for the sound upgrades is to buy sweet for the small child who played the chimes for them.

Shame really no easy way turn off at night all I wanted was a hourly timer this keeps bing bonging every 15 mins 24/7 unless you upgrade for a pound or two but I’m too tight lol. I’m silencing it for now in phone settings if I can If I can’t find something free in App Store. The app looks okay if u don’t mind paying the 99p or £1.99
