WGT Golf Reviews

Nice graphics, terrible physics

Le Dieselle on

Canada

Be prepared to face frustration - even with upgraded balls and clubs. Balls going too long or too short for no reason. The game struggles to calculate evelation changes and effects of wind. The putting used to be good but was ruined a couple upgrades ago. DO NOT spend money on this game until they fix it

Great graphics but…

Mr.Tocker on

If you are looking for a golf game to develop your skills to play well and being in control of every shot by mastering the game, then WGT Golf is not for you. The graphics are excellent, but WGT has a lot of very imprecise distances to holes on almost every hole. Also, so supposedly simulate real golf, the programmers of WGT Golf have integrated a stand alone program called VEM (Virtual Equipment Modulation) in the game that is literally taking control of some of your approaches shots by modifying the sweet spots of your clubs, based on your player skills, your own personal abilities and on your Mode Of Play (called MOP’s) playing habits. So you have to adapt your play with all these variables if you want to invest yourself in the game.

sucks

Tabarnack007 on

On 1 vs 1 a player with a driver that has 50 yards on mine actually starts the par four 25 yards closer than me! Ridiculous

It’s just like golf

Duderific 69 on

If you like frustrating playing conditions, this is your game! It gives very limited perspectives on shots. You can’t get a good angle to for judgment. It’s literally a feeling game. It is simply diabolical in its interpretation of rough shots. It gives very little instructions and nothing is the same way twice. I wouldn’t recommend this game to anyone who wants to keep their sanity…. Visual perspectives are extremely limited for the putts and especially chipping.

Great golf game

Problem with reward ads

Trebor3444 on

Canada

For a few days now, I can’t watch ads to get credits on my iPad 12, but I can on my old iPad. How to solve this problem?

New updates are not good

FJFKR24 on

The latest update in November 2024 is terrible. The new swing looks terribly amateurish compared to before.

Not worth it

tipoischiche on

Fun game until you reach a higher level, then you will have to get the credit card out to pay for every little upgrade they offer you to keep it up with other players. You will also be Ad free for a while but then they will play an ad before every game you want to play unless you pay extra for an ad free game.

Dougiemax

Been playing for nearly ten years. Was bogey golf earlier and now closer to par depending on the course. Some courses are way harder than others but controlling your shots is critical. I find WGT golf very realistic. Only drawback is when unsuspected errors in the software occur 🥵

What’s with the ads?

Cygnus 5000 on

Canada

I’ve played this game for years and it’s been fun but lately I get these gambling site ads that you have to endure and even with numerous countdown devices before, supposedly, I can play golf. However even after sitting through this I can’t close the ads down. I’ve seen three different ads that are basically the same and all of them prevent me from enjoying the game. I’ll reinstate my 5-star once these ads go away.
