Wanted this my whole life

Andischreff on

I am awful at reading music and can’t transpose to save my life, but I love to play and have been for 20 yrs now. I play in many different tunings, so it was impossible for me to say what chord I was actually playing, and I would just reference the chord shape to remember. But now I can actually refer to the correct chord, which will make playing with others much easier. Thank you so much for making such a useful app! I love it.

Need ukulele version

This is great, but I have to translate from ukulele to guitar each time. I don’t want to look up a cord and it’s not easy.

I love this app

I cannot tell you how helpful this app has been in my love. As a songwriter I’ve found that I often discover new chords for my music as I’m writing, but I don’t know exactly what the chord may be. Which causes issues for notation! With the help of this app I can perfectly notate every song I write!

So useful

This is actually a GREAT app! I’m surprise I am just now finding it.

Audio

glossyO on

Not a terrible app but it doesn’t always ID the chord and there is no audio of the chord which would be helpful

Big help

My brain can not name some of the weird chords I create or hear in some covers we do. This tool is excellent for that or just keeping the basics in your head. I use it a lot.

Chord Names are Wrong

p17496 on

United States

This can only name basic chords that anyone beyond a beginner would already know. Anything else it cannot name correctly. It can’t even name major and minor triads. I guess it’s fine for beginners, but for more complicated chords, like what you would actually need a chord naming tool for, it spits out some nonsense or nothing at all.
