Whirly Word SE

Super cool game - I've spent literally hours at a time on this and I just keep coming back for more. Nice, sleek and simple design, fun and challenging. I could use more of an overall achievement system though. All in all, the best free singleplayer word game.

This game is fun and helps build your vocabulary BUT there are far too many foreign words included. There are also a lot of obscure medical terms, which is fine, but there are quite a few words that are in different Asian languages that are simply not part of the English language and haven’t really become part of the English language yet. Also, there are a fair number of proper nouns that supposedly aren’t included, but they are included. I think better quality control would help the game be more enjoyable.

I like this game!

I’m an older person who has problems with cognitive decline. I use this game to keep my brain from being lazy. I have found that Whirly Word has helped me sharpen my thinking and upping my skill set. To top it off, it’s a lot of fun and I get great satisfaction when I complete a puzzle!

food Yeah you’re not a bad f

I played this (free) game for several years and kept the one game going for at least 4 or 5 years; score was over 10 million. I never updated the app in the last 2 yrs since I didn’t want any problems. Then I made a mistake w/a duplicate icon and deleted the app (operator error) and had to reinstall. I lost all my scores but was OK w/what I thought was a “fresh” start. However, this new version is extremely limited. I think there are only about 100-120 different puzzles that have different 6-letter words. My old version always kept new words coming; there were repeats but infrequently. Now I can breeze through the games w/very little thought because they’re the same. No challenge left. Maybe the pay version has more new games but the free one is worthless to me now. Now I have to find a new word game.
