This app combines everything you could ever need to ensure an easy sleep. With the three pillars of any sleep app, white, pink and brown noise, the creators have made something that can be as simple or as customised as you could want. Dive further with oscillation, timers, and volume settings, then move on to the next tier of ambience. Worthy of an app on its own, the ambience settings out perform most other apps of similar purpose. The variety of simple sounds avoids unnecessary clutter (see app's which include such sounds as lawnmower or train tracks) but provide the ability to add a slight extra customisation. With further fine tuning available in the settings the app rounds itself out to be a toolkit of sleep. Good user interface, no notice bugs, and doesn't seem to drain the battery. A huge bonus is ability to turn of phone while it runs, a feature that without leaves all similar apps unusable. 😴 Regarding the method of revenue for the free app, it's adverts are pervasive, but forgivable due to the extensive options given. The only problem being the adds often auto play with sound, and considering the app is accessed in bed, late, when trying to get to sleep, it can be frustrating trying to hammer the mute button. 😁 The colour scheme, while dark, could be darker causing less light when using in dark room. 😎 The only suggestions I would make is to remove the auto play video ads with sound as it conflicts with the apps purpose. Also rain on a canvas tent is perhaps one of the most soothing ambient sounds in my opinion, and so I'd love to see its inclusion. To summarise it's the best white noise app available, and once downloaded will be used daily for possibly years to come. PROS ☺️ - oscillation settings - app can run in background - ambient sounds to customise further CONS 🤔 - ads can cause loud sound
I have tinnitus and this app has been very good at helping me get to sleep. Love the oscillator, and the ability to add ambient sounds to the background noise. The ads are annoying but otherwise I recommend this to people having trouble sleeping.
White noise is great for a number of reasons but if you are a tinnitus sufferer with a very irritating white noise screeching sound 24/7/365, then the audiologist recommends that you use a white noise similar to your tinnitus at a similar volume to it but that it oscillate so that it tricks your mind into paying attention to the noise instead of your tinnitus. It really helps the habituation process so that your tinnitus related anxieties are greatly reduced or eliminated. Please note that nothing actually eliminates the tinnitus. But this is the only app that provides much needed relief, consistently.
This app works beautifully, except for the fact that every time you open it, an ad has to load and play for at least five seconds. And if you happen to turn the noise on before the ad pops up, the app crashes and you have to open it again. I shouldn't have to say how annoying that is but it's annoying.
Does what it says. Nice UI. No frills, needs none. Stays on when app is in background, nice. -1 Star because of the annoying way in insists on feeding the sounds in and out when you hit the buttons. I don't need a fade, just turn the sound on or off when I tell you to, thanks.
Bought this to help me sleep. It's great.
Good noise samples. Simple interface. All it should be.
Any/all apps with full screen annoying ads deserve only one star. SAY NO TO ADS.
Helps me to sleep.
