White Noise - Soundly Sleeping

Description

Soundly Sleeping helps your sleep by reducing the amount of external noise you will be subject to.
It produces continuous, uninterrupted random noise that effectively cancels out other sounds. All you have to do is pick between the exact randomness that suits your audio source best: white, pink, or brown. Essentially the sound gets lower from first to last - simply try out what works best for you. Set your volume - not too loud, we don't want to hurt your ears - and have a good night's sleep!
You might also try the app in the following situations:
* On a plane and you want to relax or sleep undisturbed
* When repetitive sounds (like clock ticking or gentle snoring) keep you awake
* To mask out street noises if you live in a loud neighborhood
Give Soundly Sleeping a try if you have a headache, a migraine, tinnitus, insomnia, or you simply are looking for some privacy.
Try playing it for your kids if they won't fall asleep or your baby if it is crying.

White Noise Reviews

Amazing when it works. Mildly annoying when it doesn’t.

Perfect in many ways however sometimes it just stops working. Resetting is easy though by closing and reopening the app.

Get this and stop looking!!!

I have used this app for years. Don’t waste time looking for “color” sounds and just use this one. I normally don’t write reviews on apps, but this app deserves it!

I love this app!

I have been using it every night for several years and it’s always worked perfectly for me. I love the simple UI & unobtrusive ads, & that it does exactly what it says on the tin. Thank you for making it!!!

Best noise app

This is my favorite noise app so far, esp the brown noise. But I have one small issue… I keep my phone on silent but if I get a call the noise machine will go off while the call is coming in. It wakes me up when the noise randomly stops. I have to pick up my phone and make it start again which disrupts my sleep. Love the tone of the sounds though and the ease of use of the app!

Great app, a couple new bugs

I love the app, PLEASE make it so it still plays sound even if your iPhone is on vibrate again. It seems like they removed that functionality in the last update. I would love to be able to use the app even when my phone is muted. Also, I just noticed that when I turn off my screen, the audio stops. This didn’t happen before, please fix!

Safety app for years. Flashing ads bad for photosensitive migraines/epilepsy.

Im autistic and when I’m stressed or overwhelmed for years I’ve had this app on my phone (now my tablet) and put on my headphones and listen to brown noise. Loud noise and high pitches overwhelm me so this app has been amazing and saved me from many meltdowns and shutdowns in public and private. I can think better when I can isolate what I need to do in my brain (ie. Am I hungry, do I have low blood sugar, am I too cold, do I have to go to the bathroom). Those sound like normal things to a lot of people, but for a lot of autistic ppl too much input makes it hard to figure out what is wrong and then everything is overwhelming. My therapist and I put this specific app/my noise cancelling headphones into my safety plan about 3 years ago. Im epileptic/photosensitive and have severe migraines so when ads flash on games apps I can’t watch. I liked to keep it open on a low brightness as long as my head didn’t hurt because I really like the stars and moon so it was calming to look at. When I opened it this morning, I already had a migraine so I was trying to figure out why (had low blood sugar), but immediately panicked when I saw the flashing g ads and the new green noise button. The ads intensified my migraine, and the change in general just panicked me because my app that has been my safety for years didn’t feel safe anymore because it must have updated overnight on its own. I know that sounds kind of weird and hysterical, but change to things I’m used to that keep my days normal and safe is really big to me. I’ve loved this app so long. I’m probably not going to find a better substitute. I’ve tried YouTube videos, Spotify podcasts, turning my heater on, turning my fan on, turning them both on at the same time, sitting in my car parked while it’s running, listening to music to drown out other stuff, just noise cancelling headphones, sitting in the bathroom in the dark with the fan on, the background noise built into iPhones now, and listening to my kitchen fan. It’s something about the specific sound and consistency of the brown noise on the app that I like and I haven’t found it in anything else. Subscriptions aren’t a thing for me because of monetary limitations, but this would definitely be worth a one time fee to remove ads if the devs decide that they choose to keep them. Although personally Id be happily willing to keep an app and ‘tip’ a dev for an app I love if I’m not forced into removing things that are bad for my health. And more devoted to a

Doesn’t work anymore - thank you for fixing this.

I am sorry but this app will no longer connect to my Bose speaker. It has been working for a long time. But just stopped in the last couple weeks. Thank you for fixing this. It works great now!

Works Very Well & Helps with Sleep

Update 2/11/23: The developer corrected the Bluetooth issue very quickly and even reached out to me personally to let me know. This is a great app for using White, Pink, Brown or Green noise for a variety of reasons. I use the brown noise at night to help with sleep. The sound has a great quality compared to others I have tried. The app is straight forward and easy to use. Try it out for yourself and see! I have used this app for quite some time as brown noise at night to help me sleep. It was simple & easy to use. I just did the update & now it will not connect to my Bluetooth speaker. All other apps with sound will but for some reason this does not recognize it. I’m going to have to find another app to use until this is fixed. Please fix it soon as I relied on this app each night. Thank you! I’ll be happy to give this five stars when this is fixed.

I wrote a review a few days ago about the Bluetooth issues after the recent update. Developers were quick to respond and resolve the issues. Happy to go back to using this app nightly! Thank you!! Upgrading my previous review to 5 stars ❤️
