The makers of this app need to pay attention to updating. They offer an average price for bottles however the prices are well out of date and very inaccurate. As a whole, it is a decent app for cataloging your whiskies, ratings, reviews and learning about new products.
No longer work on IOS 16.4 on IPhone 14
This app has so much potential, but it just seems like the really simple things have been overlooked. The collection part is great, and the navigation is pretty foolproof. It has an extensive number of bottles from across the world, but could be even better if regularly updated. However... There’s no option to search by country, region, or distillery. This seems like an pretty weird oversight for this type of app. The search feature... is ok... it seems like it tries to live search a database as you type, but it’s super laggy, and returns results that aren’t even close. If I’m looking up Lagavulin, it shouldn’t bring back Buffalo Trace as the first result. If the search could be refined by country, region, or distillery, it would be an amazing search tool. The connectivity seems to be an issue. I’m sitting about 8 feet from my router and have full bars, but half the time when I try to open a bottle from a search it says there’s a poor internet connection. It’s becoming difficult to find an app that has a robust ‘Collection’ option, so I’ll stick with this one for now and hope the overall operation of the app improves.
Needs some work but a good foundation here. I appreciate the buy option but note the currency is in GBP and there is not an option to switch it to Canadian funds. I’ll never use the buy option since it’s restricted to a store in GB but having an idea of the price in my currency of choice would be appreciated.
Fantastic app. If your already a collector or want to start a collection this app is for you. Track your collection and find details about bottles you want to purchase. And you can follow your friends collections as well.
I like this app. Still hoping it was all inclusive of all whiskies but not bad at all.
I can add ratings and notes, but there are no inventory system. I wish it gave us an option to Add and manage our own inventory, select open or unopened status. Have just a blank page for review notes and rating. Sort by region and different sorting options.
