The find in page fx is very useful, which in contrary to opening the page in safari, u don't need to open section by section as they r open in full page (which may be a disadvantage if u r planning to reading section by section)

No Chinese text search

By far the best free wikipedia app for the iPhone. Being a fan of wikipedia for it's up-to-date information and open source nature, downloading this app was a no brainer. Only problem was when searching for a keyword that isn't in the database, it gives a blank page instead of page suggestions like the online version has.

Wikipedia i find is the most uptodate encyclopedia with articles and references for real as well as fictional things.. eg: smallville and superman. You could have imagined my horror when i found that wikipedia is unreadable at full screen and when you 'pinch' to zoom on the ipod touch2g, the words are nice and big but you have to scroll sideways so much that you get a headache (and confused) WIKIPANION is the killer (best) app for the ipod touch because you can view wikipedia, pictures and all with LARGE FONT without having to scroll left and right. What makes this application so good is because it is FREE. Thankyou Robert Chin for writing this application.

I noticed when I send a link from the app to a text MMS or iMessage recipient(s) or group, the text I add as a caption or info does not show up. Only the link is sent and it looks random in my text feed. Just a quirk I wish could be fixed.

No tabbed browsing. As useless as the Wikipedia app.

For years I’ve used this. I mean, has it been a decade? Maybe! I know I’ve had this for ages. For so long it’s worked better than the actual wiki app when it was new, back when that app was literally a shortcut that would open Safari. Well I’m not sure what happened, but within the last few months it’s basically become nearly unusable. You type something in, it doesn’t register you’ve tapped the text box several times, then it will basically soft freeze for several moments while it decides it’s going to search what I’ve typed. Sometimes during that lag, it’ll show what I’ve searched and the related options but if you press the wrong thing, you’ve set yourself up for a fight. Cause now the app will lag to go backwards, get confused when you type the correct thing, lag some more. No idea what just happened but if a literal link to wiki isn’t working, I have no reason to continue on with it. Nowadays, the actual Wiki app works! It’s been working for years now. So I can leave this behind. But thanks for the memories and help through the years!!!
