Description

Do you want to go sailing, windsurfing, biking or just out of the door? This application shows the current local outdoor wind speed (in beaufort, mph and km/h) and direction, measured by a nearby weather station for which it uses your current location.

Features:
- The background color changes with the wind speed
- The direction of the wind is shown on a live compass
- Change between different wind speed units (beaufort, mph, km/h, m/s, knots)
- Change arrow poining direction to either from wind or to wind (weather vane)
- The wind is automatically updated every hour
- The location is automatically updated when you move more than 5 miles/10km
- The current wind date can be shared
- Support for iPhone X
- Support for the iPad multitasking (split view..)

Can’t even get the compass points correct

Awful. Waste of time. Can’t read the compass let alone what the wind is doing. Just go outside and light a cigarette. Question answered

Excellent app, fast location identification and up to date wind information. Responsive developer. 10/10 thank you.

No good

The free version is useless unless you live in Berlin. The paid version is no better because you can only get data from predetermined weather stations, and you might be miles away from one. Functionally it is poor. The display can't be set to North up and the wind arrow is reversed, so it doesn't point in the direction the wind is blowing but to where the wind is coming from, very odd. Also the app pretends to be live by wobbling the wind arrow around, but it isn't live at all, just takes its data every hour. Finally, I can't set default units. I want mph but it always defaults to Beaufort scale. Altogether this is a disappointing app, I'm better off looking out the window at the trees swaying in the wind.

A con

The app is not free. Once downloaded, the app displays the wind direction for a location in Germany. I am in Uk, and would need to pay to get Uk wind information. Waste of time!

Absolute rubbish! Would of given 0 stars if it had allowed

I installed this app to check my local wind speed for sport purposes, and it would only tell me the wind in random places, tried re-installing it but still no joy. It would not let me upgrade either, deleted.
