This is so stupid. You can’t get a hint and you can’t even surrender and ask for the answer. If you are stuck you are stuck. So stupid

I downloaded this recently because my mom and cousin have had it for a long time. So long that they have the ability to play as many times a day as they want with no fee. But when I decide to join in and get the app I have to pay weekly? Or yearly? Back in the day something like this would have been a one-time payment of 4.99 or something but now you want me to subscribe to a FREE mobile game? Out of your mind. I’m canceling my free trial because this is ridiculous. Do better.

Sometimes too much is just right

It should be free because what if some people want to play a game that’s free? What if people don’t have money for that? Just like me, I don’t want to spend some money for just a game I get bored of in just one second. This should be free.

Was great when free. Now it’s pay to play only w no free option. Delete time!

So ridiculous to suddenly start charging $30/year for a game that was offered for free. Existing users should never be forced to pay for something they downloaded and played for free. If I could give 0 stars I would.

Good for kids learning to spell

I really enjoyed playing this game when it was free, and I get the app developer's need to jump on the subscription/cash-in on the popularity model, but no ads, no annoyances, and simple game were what made this so fun to begin with. Add to that the persistent bug that refreshing a game doesn't actually, you know, *refresh the game words* anymore...but just keeps popping up subscription ads and discount offers... and well, I'm done.

I’ve been playing since the very first free version. I later paid the one-time fee, no problem. But now suddenly I can’t continue playing unless I pay a huge subscription fee. This is a blatant bait and switch, not honoring existing customers who already paid when the deal was one-time fee. Developer does not respond to multiple support emails. I’ve actually subscribed anyway, because I love the game, but I hate the business model and the zero customer support. I reported this developer to Apple. YOU SHOULD REPORT THEM TOO – App Store PuzzWord page, scroll down to “information section”, tap “report a problem”, login when promoted, then choose the “scam” option. There you can describe your issue in detail. If enough people report the developer will be forced to behave more fairly.
