Great Resource but Major Flaw in the App
I hope the Word Hippo App developer reads this review:
I love using the Word Hippo website, but the app is riddled with ads. So, I purchased the premium subscription which removes the ads and has other benefits. However, this subscription only applies to the device on which the subscription was purchased on. For instance, I bought the premium version on my phone, but it doesn’t transfer to my iPad which is under the same AppleID. Thus, the iPad has the free version that is full of ads and I cannot access my favourited words. This is ridiculous! I will not buy another subscription for my iPad, seeing that it’s under the same account. PLEASE FIX THIS!!!
The same thing happen with a friend of mine. They purchased the subscription but didn’t have access to it on their other devices. TheY got a refund from Apple and uninstalled the app after trying to reach out to the developer, who never responded. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!

Superior to its competitors
Dictionary.com, Thesaurus.com, and even Merriam Webster do not come close to the quality of Wordhippo’s thesaurus. It also has a really good database for rhymes and other tools you may use to construct a story. Highly recommend to writers hoping to enhance their craft.

Excellent app
An excellent app for your thesaurus. You don’t need to look any further. I especially like how the words are categorized. Truly awesome. You should get this app if you do any amount of writing, even if only love letters to your loved one.
Fabulous tool for writers in any field
I was introduced to this tool about 18 months ago and I have used it consistently ever since. It is my go-to tool for finding the right word. You get oodles of choices for any word and you can click on any word in that list and you will have another slate of possibilities.
Poets tool
I use this app daily to close off difficult sentences, define meaning and conjure ideas. It is my dictionary, thesaurus, rhyming dictionary and writing partner. Pretty good for a little purple ‘potomus…The tool even helps you cheat at Wordle…but I kicked that habit
