It's good but pronunciation needs work!
This is a great game for the kids and mine have really enjoyed it. My only complaint is the pronunciation of a lot of the words is very poor, which sometimes makes it hard for them to spell it!

This app has been perfect in helping my daughter move on from just recognising letters to actually using them to build words. The available options let you tailor it to your child's stage and change it as they get better. It is also great that the developers have made it a Universal app so you don't have to pay twice for the app, ie once on the iPad and once on the iPhone. Great app and thanks!
This would have been alot better if the voice was English as sometimes my daughter could not understand the voice
It would be so much better to have the option of selecting a UK voice to provide the verbal encouragement and praise.
My 5 year daughter loves this app and we have used it a lot when driving or takeing the train. She especially loves all the rewards you get when answering correctly (daddy look I got a cupcake!!). It would be great though if you could increase the difficulty and if you as a parent could track progress and which words your kid had difficulties with, but I guess that is a bit much to expect for £0.59.
Fantastic game for Key Stage 1 children. Clear and bright four and five letter CVC(consonant/vowel/consonant) and CVVC words. Colourful picture cues and instant praise or friendly prompt if incorrect letter is chosen. Perfect for Reception and year 1 children.
This is a lovely little app. My son really enjoys using it. A nice next step on from learning letters and associating them with objects (see iAlphabet, also on the app store), to help your toddler understand letters and sounds within words. Also, the Preference screen allows you to change the colour scheme, turn the voice on or off, change the alphabet style (small letters or caps) etc.
There is no way to get back to the main menu once the game starts. The words keep repeating over and over. Not very useful.
I suppose this might be a good game...if the sounds were to come up.
The maximum length of word is 6 letters, and there are limited number of words. Not good for First grade or higher level.
