I want to love this app but just can’t get past the terrible, robotic pronunciation.
So boring it’s like reading the dictionary. with a continuous ad to buy the pro version of the app I’m not interested in the pro version. The free version is so boring.
It would be nice if I could hear someone sound out the work for correct-pronunciation or meaning
The app has way too many glitches and way too few features. The quizzes sometimes have incorrect answers labeled as correct, and at least once there were no answer choices at all. It would really mess up my 100% streak, if there was a streak counter (there isn’t). I don’t recommend.
The words given are out dated and would be unrealistic to use in everyday conversations. “Roly-poly”, “zhuzh”, “spelldown”, “skullduggery”, “twee”, “bully pulpit”??? These words won’t improve vocabulary or make you more articulate. Useless, out dated, unrealistic to use words.
It was worth 5 when it started but dropped in my estimation because it no longer carries Brittanica which I used to look forward to learning. I do hope it will return
I enjoy learning the new words and phrases in this app. I wish the time on the quizzes could be adjusted. It is annoying that it is only 60 seconds.
Epic
unrealistic
You don’t give real meaning of word you just write something that does not explain the meaning there
